Hi, sorry for the late reply. There are some rare photos I haven't seen before, the best ones being from the 1977 tour. It's expensive for a magazine, £7, but there are 130 pages and plenty of photos, so I'd say it's worth buying. Rich.

Here's a nice little trick question I'm very proud of: Did you know that ABBA's Eurovision entry once lost out to Malta's? Do you know which year this occurred? It was 1973. In the Swedish semifinal ABBA, then known only by their christian names, came 3rd with Ring Ring. The jury picked another Swedish group called Malta. Sweden came 5th that year. Ring Ring was a much better song and would have done better in the final.

I love the Tribute to Frida book, which came in the post today. It has some great photos from the ABBA years. The ABBA celebration magazine is OK. Not the best quality paper, but some rare photos I haven't seen before, the best ones being from the 1977 tour.

Is this a reprint of the WHSmith magazine I bought about 5 years ago? Or is this an entirely new one? Thanks.

I'm not a completist, so the one picture disc will do for me. DQ came yesterday and looks great. I'm glad to see the picture is the right way around! Not mirrored like on a lot of the international picture sleeves back in the 70s. Now what I would have really loved to commemorate Arrival's 40th is a picture disc of Monsier Monsier, but I guess this track will never see an official release.

Thought I should buy something to celebrate Arrival's 40th, so I've just ordered DQ picture disc before they sell out. There's still a few cheap ones left on ebay. I paid £9.99 free postage. I've just discovered the picture discs are actually cheaper on amazon than on ebay. KMKY is not on amazon though. Still elusive for some reason.

ABBA had a few isolated hits that were peculiar to a particular country. ABBA had a top 10 hit with I've been waiting for you but only in New Zealand, reaching #8 in 1977. I don't think this was a hit anywhere else. Also Nina pretty ballerina reached #8 in Austria in '73, but wasn't a hit anywhere else. Also The Visitors single reached #6 in Poland in '82, and As good as new reached #1 in Mexico in '79. Can anyone add any more isolated hits?

I've collected many Australian ABBA magazines over the years, but I've never found the 'Sweet' magazine. There is the well known photo of ABBA running through a fairground on the front cover. Does anyone have a spare copy for sale? Or if not would someone be able to upload some of the photos from inside the mag on the forum. I'm curious to know what is inside the mag. Many thanks. Rich.

I think it is ludicrous to ban the ABBA movie, but maybe a new shorter version of the Movie could be created and made available to TV stations featuring just the concert footage. I would rather the movie had been just the entire concert anyway, as the plot with the DJ becomes tiresome after one viewing.

Hi, I'm Richard. I was also a member of the same forum that is closing down shortly. Looking forward to looking around this abba site.

A real shame they're not including Monsieur Monsieur on the reissue. I wonder if this track will ever see the light of day? Rich.
