Truedogz, I think a lot of those episodes of Countdown had been erased, good thing too, I remember the media turning against them it was horrible, now who is having the last laugh, even people who weren't born during the ABBA years love them.

From what I remember when Fernando was Number I for about 14 weeks, people in the audience started booing so Molly Meldrum decided to play other songs, then people were upset about Fernando not being played. The switchboard had a lot of angry phone calls. with the way things are here in Victoria, The state government spend for different projects while people are struggling for housing and the hospitals are also struggling with Nurses leaving if it would be a good idea to have Voyage here.

Hard to choose as they had so many good songs but I picked Gimme Gimme Gimme, Would have liked to pick Dancing Queen as well but didn't know you could only pick one. the live intro to Does your mother Know was a good intro too.

Abba The movie won't be shown here in Australia because of Robert Hughes, same with the show he was on "Hey Dad" I have the DVD of Abba the movie and I agree with Hometime the scenes with him interviewing the children is creepy. I feel sorry for the other actors that were in it like Tom Oliver.

I nearly had a heart attack last night they made the headline sound like one of the Abba members had passed.
RIP to Lasse wellander he was good with his guitar solo on the DVD of ABBA in concert.

I'm glad it doesn't happen on this forum, while people kept putting one against the other both Agnetha and Frida always compliment each other when they give interviews.

I remember seeing the video to "One of us" it was a shock to me seeing ABBA looking the way they did, Bjorn's beard was awful why did he want to look like that it made him age. The girls looked tired especially Agnetha who was probably ready to go and do her own thing, I saw the movie she was in on Youtube , even though it didn't have subtitles" I could understand what was going on, She looked great in that. Maybe they were all ready to stop being ABBA. they always said if they didn't find it fun anymore they would stop.

The look in Magazine reminds me of the other teen magazines that were out at the time where people used to write in about two Aussie bands Sherbet and Skyhooks. From what I remember ABBA and The bay city rollers were often compared as well.

I have my original records and CDs, don't see the point in buying remakes of the same things, I'm at the stage where I feel what's going to happen to them when I go to my grave. I don't have any family that would want them.

SOS is one of my favourites, I remember seeing the film clip after the song Mamma mia, then they came out here to Australia to do the "Best of ABBA" special" with their cat costumes. That Special was repeated a few times as everyone here wanted to see it again and again, I even remember they played it when another ABBA special couldn't be shown.

Like Tony I have arthritis, I have it in my back and I can't stand too long and if I sit for a while I get stiff and sore. I would want a refund if I couldn't see a thing because of selfish people who think it's their right to do what they want.

I went to a John Farhnam concert a few years ago and the people in front of us stood on their seats, we had to look at the screen, that's why I don't like concerts you pay a lot of money to have someone's bum stuck in your face. and if you have to look at a TV screen you might as well watch a DVD at home.

I remember My Brother in law saying ABBA had a new song, it turned out to be Belinda Carlise's song "Heaven is a place on earth" I have the single "leave a light on for me" and it does sound like an ABBA song.

I would have preferred it to be 45 mins of ABBA although I did like some of Silver convention's songs and I have "Lady Bump" on a CD.
I liked disco some very good songs around that time.

I remember silver convention, there was a special called "An hour with ABBA &The Silver convention" on TV in the 70's it turned out only 3 ABBA songs and the rest was all silver convention, I wasted a whole hour hoping they would put some more ABBA songs on, I wasn't very happy.

I like Kisses of fire it was good how Agnetha sang the first verse softly and then when the chorus started the others joined in.

I like "Lovelight" I think its a good song, I also like a lot of their early songs, "King Kong Song" shows their fun side. Sorry Joseph, "Does your mother know" is one of my favourite Abba songs I think it was nice to have Bjorn singing lead sometimes.
not sure about "man in the Middle' that reminds me of Geofrey eddleston a man here in australia that lived the high life with all his blondes. he had a lot of facelifts to make himself younger and was always at the Melbourne cup, he died about 2 years ago.
Still listen to "Voyage" its a great album.
