What are everyone's thoughts on the new 13th Doctor? What about, oh dear? I simply don't like the idea of Time Lords being able to change gender. I'm not happy and haven't decided if I'll continue watching after the Christmas Special or not. Mind you, even if I don't watch I'm glad the show is still going and I think it may well pick up new viewers with a female Doctor. Kevin

Is anyone going to buy The Power of The Daleks on DVD? I've pre-ordered the DVD from Amazon. It is going to be available to download on the BBC Store a few weeks earlier though. The download will be available on the 5th November and the DVD on the 21st. I'm going for the DVD as I can then put it with the rest of my collection of Classic Doctor Who DVD's, in story order naturally.

I've gone for the UK Reward Level 1 as money is very tight for me but I would like to see this get published. I have the book about The Beatles Recording Sessions and would like to see the one for the group I really like.

This isn't about Abba but it's a comment about The Bay City Rollers. My parents owned a newsagents in London back in the mid - late 70's and someone had put a message up on one of the signs outside the shop which advertised one of the papers and it read Bay stuffty Rollers. I can remember that one thing from almost 40 years ago.

Neither am I. Almost all the music I have on CDs and cassettes (remember those?) is from the '60s and '70s, by such artists as The Beatles, The Beach Boys, The Four Seasons, The Supremes, and The Carpenters. Mike I certainly remember cassettes, the original portable format for music. I remember when I went on holiday and would take my walkman and a number of cassettes with me ready for when I wanted to listen to music, different to today of course when you can carry more music round with you and in a lot less space. I have to admit I would have loved to see it chart well, particularly if it helped lead to more live releases. My worry is they may think there isn't really the interest to do any more.

I'd find it very to rate the albums. I listen to all of them regularly, particularly from ABBA onwards though.

Well, I've listened to it, does it really last almost 2 hours? It sure didn't seem that long. Yes, I loved it. I'm very happy with this release. I'll go along with those who'd like to see a '77 concert released.

Doctor Who was my favourite show from when I was a kid. My first Doctor was Jon Pertwee from the early 70's. I would say my favourite would be Tom Baker, particularly his first 3 years when Philip Hinchcliffe was the producer.
I did stop watching in 1979 after watching Creature from the Pit and didn't start again until Keeper of Traken and then I haven't missed an episode since.
I do like Capaldi I was really happy to see an older Doctor again although I believe a lot of new who fans aren't very happy though.

My Mum loved a lot of different music as well, including modern stuff. There was pretty much music playing all the time here as well, Mum also enjoyed Top of the Pops. My decades for music should be 70's and 80's but I really love the 60's. There is another basically 70's act I like and that's Slade. I also like some of the acts your mum liked, Elvis, Roy Orbison and Buddy Holly.
The only concert I've ever been too would be Paul McCartney when he started touring touring again at the end of the 80's, there was a live album released taking tracks from a number of venues and dates from that tour and was called Tripping the Live Fantastic.

I've never understood the belief that ABBA were a poor live band simply because the songs didn't sound exactly the same live as they did on record. I can't be the only person who expects there to be some differences between live and record.

Is it safe to admit that I've got the album now, from a torrent, haven't actually listened to it yet though. Who thinks I'll be able to wait until Monday and listen legally?

I tend to have commercial tastes in music so the acts I like are some of the more popular ones. The Beatles, Queen, and 60's Stones. I admit I'm not keen on modern stuff though.

No edition of Gold Kevin ? Not even one ?? Goodness, what a rarity you are ! It does seem that every UK Abba fan has a copy of Gold. I just want a picture of the group on the cover dammit and Gold doesn't give you that so that's my excuse for not having a copy and I'm sticking to it

In terms of track listing it would have to be The Essential Collection, there's so many tracks on it. I do like Singles First 10 Years but also Greatest Hits and Greatest Hits Vol 2.
I must be one of the few UK fans who doesn't own any edition of Gold though.

Thanks for posting that. I never did get to see them live which is possibly why I'm looking forward to the new release so much.

Hi
I'm Kevin, I'm 48 and from England.
I've been a fan of ABBA since the 70's but unfortunately never did get to see them live.
