Great shots. I imagine Benny is especially pleased! These are the costumes with matching cloaks, which makes me think they'll be used in the opening section and shrugged off after a couple of numbers.

Good pics. It's all building up now.
On the question of the Voyage tracks being on a future compilation, I don't think it would be this year.
Too soon, maybe the Voyage album can have some sort of rival or the first two songs at least get lots of streams.
Maybe around the 50th anniversary of Waterloo in two years time.

Fantastic! But as one or two others have said about some other images, I don't think they've got Agnetha quite right. Just my opinion.

Really like the New Costumes, l can see the real ones all being put on display somewhere in the future, the guys look so realistic, in those images, but the Girls look a little odd, kind of Ghostly, Frida looks a tad Vacant, and Agnetha more like a Bloke in Drag, but have previously seen much better likeness in previous Clips, probably just the lighting, or a slight malfunction?

It’s a really odd one of Frida there. Benny looks the best, but that’s probably because it’s a side view. A front view might also show some flaws. Björn again doesn’t look quite right but it’s near enough.
It seems to vary by image though, presumably depending on the angle. They might look better when moving than in static photos.

Frida and Agnetha look like they've been on the lash. But they are just a couple of stills.
I have actually some photos of me that don't look like me at all. 😀

Yes, Benny looks the best in these images - the most accurate and natural. They all look a bit pale. Frida's eyes are not right in some images. Are all their eyes darker than they should be? It's all a bit 'Stepford Wives'

He might be open to the idea of collaborating with Agnetha? I actually think he probably sees Agnetha as being the writer that’s the most equal to him, though maybe they’d clash as both write music. In one of the many interviews Agnetha did for her album “A” (it’s starting to seem hard to believe now, considering she’s only done the one Swedish radio interview for Voyage), she mentioned she had gone to see Benny and played him the whole album, as though his opinion was important to her. There was an indication that he was disappointed she’d only written one song for it (and even then only by a lot of encouragement), so I think he’d be open to the prospect of a collaboration. Agnetha probably isn’t interested though. It seems Agnetha and Benny have always been quite close to each other and you're probably right that Benny appreciate Agnetha's songwriting abilities. You reminded me of an interview with Benny from the time when it was revealed Agnetha would release a new album ("A") and he commented that he hoped she had composed the songs herself, as she was a talented songwriter.

As for the avatars we are seeing them in the cold light of day and not in the hall with all the lights, music a and movement we should wait and see it in the whole first.

Discussion halted somewhat, so I’ll air some thoughts I had, was thinking if ABBA’s new songs being used for 3rd Mamma Mia movie, I could see Sky & Sophie splitting up with Sophie having an alcohol problem, (Cher character!! Can’t remember the name) takes Sophie under her wing.) Their son is called Dan! Dan has a boyfriend (Fred, My Mama Said.) Meryl appears as a Ghost again and sings with Cher & Sophie “I Still Have Faith In You” Harry gets proposed by a guy (I’m Harry not the kind of guy you’d marry.) Sophie goes to big city (I am the city) succumbs to night life. At the end meryl appears to Sophie and starts to sing Don’t Shut Me Down, and whole cast joins in!
Need to iron out more details to get the Oscar! Wee bit of fun.

Bjorn and Benny have said in the past that they don't want a Mamma Mia 3 and have also said the don't want any Voyage songs in said movie too.

Bjorn and Benny have said in the past that they don't want a Mamma Mia 3 and have also said the don't want any Voyage songs in said movie too. B&B are always cautious, They said that with Mamma Mia Stage Musical, The ABBA Museum, and Benny was saying No Abba Album, up until the day it was revealed there was. If they do a third, l don't see why Bjorn can't Tweak more of the lyrics to fit the Plot, There are still lots of good melodies, nothing is set in stone, they can still include the Title of the Song. Plus all those so Called Movie Stars are Game for another fun Fest.

Bjorn and Benny have said in the past that they don't want a Mamma Mia 3 and have also said the don't want any Voyage songs in said movie too. For years they said no sequel, I think Judy Craymer says it was always going to be a trilogy, going by the commercial success of sequel I think it’s possible. The only thing I think they missed a trick when Cher arrived in helicopter: why they didn’t play Arrival in the background.

The Voyage' Show, reviews are awesome, what l have read so far on Social Media, by those local residents, and friends who got a free sneak preview of rehearsals. I will definitely go and see the Show, at some point, I hope. Abba have spent a Great deal of time, effort and Money on the Project.
I do think this is a unique Show, l don't think other artists can copy this format, in the same way they did with Mamma Mia, which was probably the Pioneer of the Jukebox Musicals.
I would not want to go and see a similar Show, say with Michael Jackson or Prince, who have Passed and had no involvement or Artistic Control in the Production. Just my opinion, and with the Advancement of AI Technology it's quite Scary to ponder on what good and bad awaits us.

...l don't think other artists can copy this format... ...I would not want to go and see a similar Show, say with Michael Jackson or Prince, who have Passed and had no involvement or Artistic Control in the Production... I was thinking about this too, even if Queen and The Beatles were the first contenders that sprang into my mind. Is it even possible to recreate Freddie or John Lennon, who are no longer available to be filmed and captured in motion-capture bodysuits? I don't think the videos are enough, otherwise the ABBA members would not be required to rehearse the songs for the show in person. But the technology evolves, so who knows what can happen in a few years' time?

This ABBA Voyage show seems like a positive, benign use of technology compared with possible future developments featuring dead pop/rock stars or film stars. The implications make me feel uneasy; and I'm sure it will go beyond it's present - as I understand it - flat screen-screen motion-capture imagery.

Yes, I’ve got it on blu-ray and yet (as with most of my DVD collection) I never watch it. It’s poignant to see it now when it’s essentially this version of ABBA that the Voyage show portrays. The other two programmes were quite good for Channel 5, though a lot of poor-quality YouTube footage where they’d made no attempt to find better.

In Today's 'Sunday People', (Page 8), and 'Sunday Mirror', (Page 3), there are excellent Reviews of the 1st - Voyage' Shows. However, please be aware that the 'Sunday People' Review Lists the entire Set List! There are no huge surprises. The only 1 for me, is how many of ABBA's 9 UK No.1's are included. I expected ABBA to - maybe - leave out 1 of them. I was surprised
It is the Venue ABBA Souvenirs that are very expensive! £120 - Satin Jacket. £100 - ABBA Blanket. £70 - Knitted Sweat Shirt.

A setlist in the Sunday People? Ooh, that is exciting. Just tried to search online and can’t see it, so might have to find a physical copy. Thanks Colin onlyabba4meagainIt does say in the online article that “Insiders say they are still perfecting the final set-list which is shrouded in secrecy.”

I don't know if blogger Alan is a member here (forgive my dimness if you are!) but he posted this today. Channel 5's devotion to ABBA last night has paid off, it seems. Lots of ABBA and solo entries into Amazon's bestsellers list - with The Singles - The First Ten Years beating them all: abbafansblog.blogspot.com/2022/05/amazon-uk-charts.html I can't access Channel 5 here in Ireland. If anyone knows of other ways to see the output - especially the one about the 40 years before the comeback - I'd be very grateful.

^^ Just wondering how The Singles - The First Ten Years can be in that movers and shakers chart when it doesn’t exist new? One second-hand copy sold, perhaps?
