Agnetha is truly stunning there. Sexy, wholesome. And no flesh exposed. What a star.
How have I missed this thread? I'm so busy ranting in other threads I'm missing the simple joy of seeing some pictures of the group I haven't seen before or if I have, it was a long time ago. One of life's simple pleasures for me used to be just looking at pictures of the group. Ah the innocence of youth and what certainly seems like simpler times. Rose tinted specs most likely.

^^ It was in a magazine, but I've long since forgotten what magazine. Someone clipped the article and gave it to me.

I found this copy of Billboard Magazine (8th of September, 1979). If you scroll through, at one point a long ABBA promotional section starts, continuing over many pages. It was obviously made to create publicity for the group ahead of their imminent tour of North America.
I found it interesting not only for its ABBA-related content, but also for all the contemporary charts it features, both for albums and singles, and for different categories of music (separate ones for disco and jazz, adult contemporary, etc.), and also a few different countries' charts (it was fun spotting different placings for ABBA's releases in several of these in September 1979).
Here's the magazine:
Happy scrolling through this fun time capsule.

thank you JJ. i devoured the article. nice to see the industry thanking ABBA i guess because they made so much money out of ABBA. My country the Philippines was mentioned in one of the advertisements, thats nice to see. I'm surprised there were reports on how well ABBA did in our Asian neighbors. One artwork i particularly liked was the advertisement for CANDABBA. if it was a poster I would buy one
