I too think that Lovers could have done with a better chorus..,, a bit too screechy. And Lovelight could have been worked on too. A bit too repetitive. I remember at the time, might have been the Abba magazine got a preview of some songs for the next untitled album (Voulez-Vous) and thought it was a potential for release as a single. Maybe with a bit more work but the next single became SNC which deserved higher that it’s UK number 5 placing.

1. Somebody once said If it wasnt for the nights is one of those rare Abba songs where the verses are much stronger than the chorus. Yes, the verses are great and you wait for a superb chorus ...... and the chorus is so flat
2. When all is said and done is really good and should have been the 2nd single from the album. Still , I find the line " not too old for sex " embarrasing and problematic. Also, at 3.17 the song is way too short. Perhaps a violin intro ? heh heh of 30 seconds or SOMETHING . The shortness is a problem because it is a fast song and feels often it is over before it ends. But in spite of the problems, really good Abba material.
3. This is the perhaps most Abba - sounding song there can be and I like it. But the bits in the verses where Frida sings lead sound simply odd somehow. I have no knowledge of music and English is not my 1st language , to my ears her voice suddenly " cracks " or goes too " low "of a sudden or she is just rehearsing her bits and they took that on record.

There are few perfect songs in the ABBA catalogue, but the rest (for example, Dancing Queen) (most of their songs) could be better. IMHO
