The first (main) wave of tickets went on sale today and everything had been snapped up within an hour. I didn't get lucky for the Grand Final - those tickets had all sold out within 20 minutes - but at least I managed to get tickets for the Second Semi-final 'family show' (i.e. dress rehearsal) on the Thursday. Did anyone else have any more (or even less) luck? There are more tickets going on sale in Jan and March, when they've finalised camera positions, arena layout etc, but we're talking scraps, I think, and there's even less chance of success. Demand overwhelms supply yet again!

To be honest I’d only like to go to the final and to be seated.. so the chances of that happening are so slim, I don’t bother wasting my time anymore... its a shame really, venues to small and to many so called VIPs, with 100s of millions in Europe vying for a few 1000 seats, what’s the odds..then the cost .. However they do say if your not in it you can’t win it...
Ill stay home these days ...

Ok, it’s beginning.. National Selection.. a few countries have already chosen their songs and yet again Italy have a very powerful strong ballad, ( I’m slightly biased as love Italian music) , however I listened to some of the tracks that were in the San Remo Festival, the way Italy chooses its euro entry.. and some of the tracks are so good and-are cast aside... they are lucky to have such strong tracks to choose from, a definite top 5... UK let’s be optimistic and aim for a top 20 finish...lol

I really enjoy Eurovision and I have been to 2 of them - Dusseldorf in 2011 and Malmö in 2013. That said, it seems really expensive nowadays, and very hard to get tickets. I heard the song that won in San Remo - the artist, under Italian rules, can technically change the song to a different one now if they want to, but it sounds like quite a good one. I think it is a bit longer than 3 minutes though, so needs shortening. The UK never does well nowadays and I am not expecting that to change - whoever we send and however good the song is.

Given Brexit I don’t think The Uk is likely to get any votes. Global success on winning seems to be a thing of the past. Only Abba, Bucks Fizz and Celine Dion seem to have done that and Bucks Fizz and Bucks Fizz did not have success in The USA. I used to watch it in the hope of finding another talent like Abba. Now I watch it for amusement especially guessing accurately who gives who 12 points regardless of the songs worth or performance.

With nearly all entries released only Russia to go.. its a probability that this years Eurovision might be behind closed doors or even video, which would be a twist..or even cancelled, who knows.. That all said, it’s a pretty average lot this year so far, nothing really standing out... Lithuania is catchy in the music and is one of the favourites, but for me something is lacking to be a winner.. UK, although it’s not bad won’t win any medals, Germany may surprise , and for an outsider I’ve just listened to North Macedonia..it’s ok actually, no winner again but there’s something about it..Sweden, disappointing a Dream Girls effort..
As for the winner.. well it’s got to go ahead first as in the competition..
Stay safe everyone...

Due to the Coronavirus, will it be likely for Eurovision to be cancelled because of the massive crowds?

I think it's too early to say. It's the same with the Glastonbury festival here in the UK. The acts have been announced but who can say what might happen in the space of a few months? We have to just hope for the best.
