That's better. I'm not a fan of Andy B's tinkering. I agree Martin. The only tinkering is when the water marks are removed otherwise I prefer the picture as is. Shoshin, just like to say I'm perfectly fine with the fact that you aren't a fan of my "tinkering" as you so charmingly put it...everyone has their own opinion after all. I really enjoy the work I do in Photoshop, and I'm happy to say the vast majority of feedback i receive is extremely positive, and it pleases me to know that my work gives pleasure to other fans. I always strive to not "over retouch" photo's (most of the time), and I truly believe that if I posted the "before and after" versions of my retouching work, most people would be very happy with it. Regarding the particular photo you commented on (Agnetha with the necklace in her mouth), I only had a small, grainy copy to work on, so I enlarged it, smoothed out the grain and corrected the colour sowewhat. It's somewhat unfair to compare it to the version that Fafner posted just after mine, as his version is clearly a much larger, better quality version (however I do bow to Fafner's expertise at finding such high quality images!). I certainly accept that my work is not to everyone's taste, (good grief even great artists can't please everyone!), but I can assure you I won't lose any sleep over the fact that you personally don't appreciate my "tinkering", and will continue to post my work for others that DO appreciate it to enjoy. Agnetha & Kjerstin Dellert (Swedish opera singer and theater manager). In 1976 they were both at the Stockholm Opera for the wedding of King Carl Gustaf and Queen Silvia (where ABBA first performed "Dancing Queen" and she performed "O, min Carl Gustaf").   |
