I would like to post some pictures, but I see that our hosting doesn`t work. Therefore all the pictures which have been posted there before became inaccessible ((((

Yes, It seems the postimg.cc domain has been 'locked'. They're using postimg.cc as their new homepage and ask people to change their website links accordingly ... see here : postimages.org/

It's possible though to fix the older pictures by editing the older link, just change '.org' into '.cc', but that would be to much work to fix every link. I wonder if there's a method to do this automatically across the whole forum?

Yeah, unfortunately practically every image has been posted there I just can`t imagine how many images we have in total during these years... Do they have a technical support service? If they do, we could write them to receive any advice how to fix it at once

I don't know exactly how it's done, or if it's even possible in ProBoard, but in PHPBB you can change all occurences of a url by using the SQL language on the PHPBB database where the posts are stored...
Something like : UPDATE posts_database SET post_content = replace(post_content, 'http://www.postimg.cc ', 'http://www.postimg.cc')
Mr(s) Admin ?

Fafner, where are you? With your skills, I'm sure you could work your magic on this and eradicate the watermark.

Oh, I know! I have tried to do it myself just the other day and I made a right pig's ear of it. Here's how you do it. Go to app.tt.se/bildobjekt, find your picture, and download the small thumbnail for the picture (which has no watermark). Next, resize the thumbnail to match exactly the size of the watermarked image, and put it in a layer underneath the watermarked image (in photoshop or gimp). Next, add an alpha channel to the top picture, and erase the watermarked area with an eraser. If you did everything right, the starched thumbnail will show underneath. The results usually look pretty decent, especially if you have a good quality thumbnail.

Or what you mean by 'put it in a layer' or even 'starched' and gimp. When I did it, I tried using an app that erase blemishes and lines, etc... it worked ok until I got to Agnetha's mouth and teeth area. Then it was just a mess so I gave up. It's an interesting picture but I'm not desperate to see it with out the watermark, it was just a thought.

Just look up some online tutorials on these things (it's not very hard to learn, there are many good tutorials available). Yep, you can't restore the finer details of the picture without having the original image, and that's why my method works better than all these automatic tools. (but of course it also has limitations, since it depends on how good the thumbnail is, and it won't work if you don't have any copy of the image without the watermark.)
