Talking of camera angles, here's a less well known Waterloo performance in Germany, with the same costumes. Check out the new and initially baffling camera angle beginning at 0:48. It takes five seconds or so to realize why it might have been chosen, and by then the innocent viewer is complicit in the voyeurism. German production team pre-rehearsal discussion: 'A back of stage angle straight through Benny's piano would be good' 'You're joking. The piano cuts out most of the band. There's nothing to see'. 'No, bear with me on this one'. Note that the camera even sidles away like a guilty Peeping Tom at 1:05, and the angle isn't used again  |

You have a point. I see at "so how could I ever refuse..." Frida is late and Agnetha is right on time. In fact, watching the whole video, I'm seeing that a lot. You wanna start the thread or should I? I'll be stressing that no Frida bashing is involved... You know thinking about it, this could lead to a lot of Frida bashing. Maybe the thread can focus mainly on notable camera angles during Abba performances as well as Abba members' reaction, like your last clip of the performance in Germany does? Up to you, of course. |

Maybe not. I took a screencap from the documentary, the still of which doesn't show ABBA's Björn (hence my misunderstanding). The next still shows the guy's face. He just looks like a random audience member got onto the stage, doesn't he? They all look remarkably relaxed, so maybe it is Skiffs. (Edit: this wasn't the Landskrona show though, was it? I think it was the following night at Norrköping. But Skiffs was at that one too) |
