Ah, the Swedish saunas! A must-do when visiting Sweden - and then a quick dip in the sea. So great in a cold climate!
I've been wondering. When did the girls start getting their picture taken together regularly? Is there a very first real twosome? (If you can speak of such a thing.)

That's a good question. These are the earliest I could find of just the two of them on raffem.com, from around 1972-73.

It probably goes all the way back to that night that both Agnetha and Frida were in the same contest and Agnetha won and that was in the late 60s.

Sorry Carol off the top of my head at this moment I can't remember the contest I want to say 1966/1967? It was a Swedish singing contest. This is where I wish a4e would have left their forum up to access the old news. I will ask around and see what I can find.

It probably does. I looked for photos from the Festfolk era and I couldn't find any of just the two ladies. If a photo exists of the two of them at that singing contest in the late 1960's it would be awesome but I have never seen one.

The first known time they were pictured together. January 1968 and Agnetha's first TV appearance. I see no boys.

Thanks a lot chelseacharger! That opens a window of photo opportunities of several years afterwards. You guys are truly amazing. I always liked specialists of all sorts. They are such plesant company!
Also, I share dizzimoe's sentiment wholeheartedly. Such a terrible waste!

practice makes perfect ) It's amazing how little footage (and photos) are available from this dance routine during the drum segment in the 'Girl with the Golden Hair' section of the tour. It would be great to see the full routine someday.

The third pic, kind of faded, in your second collection, when do you think it was taken?

I did the same (thanks for the directions!) and came up with these photos or stills, if you like, which is the same to me - the line softens - from 1972 or earlier.

I am thinking maybe 1973/74? I don't have any additional info about it.

Yes, that "People Need Love" performance from '72 was among the earliest I saw as well. This was, of course, just after Festfolk and before Abba was Abba.

Thanks! Isn't it great that the quality of the videos of the girls is getting better all the time. So many fans on YouTube do wonders for their legacy.
