Agnetha's first number one hit in Sweden as a singer/songwriter for Cupol (Jag Var Så Kär/I Was So In Love) is from 1967 when she had just turned 17.
Agnetha recorded her first single "Följ Med Mig" / b-side "Jag Var Så Kär" on Monday, October 16th 1967, and she was 17 - and half a year  . She recorded a second single the same day, "Utan Dig" / b-side "Slute Gott Alltig Gott". The first single was released in early November, but did not chart until Agnetha had been on TV January 10th 1968 (a programme called 'Studio 8' -it is uncertain what Agnetha performed, but probably "Jag Var Så Kär"- ). Anni-Frid was actually performing in the same programme, but neither girl remembers much of the other. "Jag Var Så Kär" was entered for the 'Svensktoppen' radio charts, and Sunday January 28th she debuted at # 3. A week later, she entered the record sales charts at # 6, and some weeks later in the end of February she was # 1. A month later she was 18. |

Could start off with the "Tiger" video where Agnetha drives more like a Swedish mommy than a bad hoodlum. Then a nice pit stop with an ABBA truck. I think there's a pic with her coming out of one of the green ones, but couldn't find it.

Yes, I ought really to have taken into account whether the thread title would be a little too narrow in scope. Bang goes my 'Early Agnetha drinking a pint of beer' idea   I mean, this isn't early and it's only half a lager  |
