Nice pics, dizzymoe. Here's mommy just after she hit the frontpage - presented as mother-of-two from Eskildstuna. It says Frida helped much in relieving all the right-driving angst among the Swedes that night. Very believable, I'd say, that listening to Frida is good therapy.

Very nice Poul, I can only imagine how nerve racking it had to be switching to the other side of the road and having a performance at the same time.

Very nice Poul, I can only imagine how nerve racking it had to be switching to the other side of the road and having a performance at the same time. Yes, it's a good one hour drive from Eskildstuna to Stockholm. Never seen Frida drive herself, though.
EDIT: Thanks to a friendly nod, I have now seen Frida drive (on the right side). It's better than the usual pic of some girl getting out of the back seat of a car, I'd say.

An absolutely wonderful compilation of pics of Frida by Sinny1992 (Andrea) - some rare ones, all beautiful - so I thought I'd place it here instead of on the Frida video thread. Could do both, I suppose, because this is a really great cover of "Sounds of Silence" in Swedish, "En Ton Av Tystnad", by Frida from 71. Her Swedish is just lovely - so crisp and sweet.

Between 1964-66 Gunnar Sandevärns band med Frida was the most popular danceband around Eskildstuna. Frida was also Vocalist of the Year 1964 in Sweden.

I think I got this ”Early Photos Thread” a bit wrong with my contribution, so I deleted it in order not to spoil the thread, which is very nice. Honest mistake though, I’d say. I mean what’s early in the long life of an old gal? Anyway, here’s a more fitting picture, I hope.
Edit: This photo may help to pinpoint the time. Benny got his beard early on, so Frida must still be in her teens here, I think. Nope, Anni-Frid was 23 and Benny 22 when they first met in early 1969. Anni-Frid was still married with two children, getting separated from her 1st husband, Benny was a father to two children as well (but never married their mother). They became a couple few months later, just weeks before Agnetha and Björn hooked up. These pictures are from Monday August 18th 1969 when the couple got engaged at the premiére of the Cabarét Show which Anni-Frid acted in. Benny grew his beard sometime after August 1970: it was there for the photo sessions for 'Lycka' in September, but not upon the photos from the Björn, Benny, Svenne och Lotta Cabarét show in late August .

Thanks john. Now I can better understand how she could be swinging in chandeliers in high-heels at the time.

Someone has colorized that one because it was originally in black and white. It is a nice family picture, thanks.
