Fafner comes up with so many brilliant images, whether previously unseen or improved quality, that I wondered whether his encyclopaedic collection/mind could occasionally be mined like a search engine for that elusive photo we half remember but haven't seen for ages. I thought that maybe the query could be laid out like a Friends episode: 'The one where..'  Of course, if this seems a silly idea, or if Fafner doesn't fancy such an onerous task, I can delete the thread no problem  Here's a trial query to kick things off: The one where über-cool Bryan Ferry looks pretty miffed 'cos his bass player appears to be making more progress with a newly-single Agnetha than he has managed  |

 That's the one! Great, thanks. The lucky bassist is Gary Tibbs. I think this would have been when Roxy Music appeared as guests on Abba In Switzerland. Maybe I should start an 'Ask Monica' thread to confirm this kind of thing (Edit: Roxy started their tour of Sweden in Stockholm later in the same month as Abba In Switzerland, Feb '79, so maybe the photo was taken then)

One photo I just can't seem to find is one taken when they were in Switzerland for the TV Special. I have this picture where Frida is offering a cigarette from a packet of Marlboro's (?) but I'm sure I've seen a follow up one where there's giggling going on as Agnetha is having a crafty puff during a press conference.  |

Great thread though Fafner sure does find some rare pictures and good quality ones as well. |

I have one for Faf... Ages ago, I distinctly remember seeing this photo but in far better quality. I don't think it was much bigger (if any bigger at all) but it was certainly much clearer than this. I have trawled my picture folders to no avail, and this is the only version I can find online. I don't suppose you could please magic up the better version?  |
