I've been wondering. When did the girls start getting their picture taken together regularly? Is there a very first real twosome?
That's a good question. These are the earliest I could find of just the two of them on raffem.com, from around 1972-73.

Great moment, Martin. Always gets a laugh out of me too. Funny how in such an intense setting, they could still find the humor in what had happened.
Here on the Don Lane show Frida playfully acknowledges a fan in the audience who calls out to her
and then attempts to teach Don Lane some Swedish, which turns into a funny, flirty moment

Martin, I could watch that clip every day. Her range there was truly amazing.

Great find Chelsea. Here is a video from the same time period. I know she was a huge fan of Earth Wind and Fire and here we see that this is surely not an easy song to sing, but charming to see her attempt at tackling it.
Also love her early takes on American jazz standards

I was inspired by Poul's post of her "Baby Love" performance photos to start a video thread for Frida. These can be entire videos or skips to parts of videos where Frida says or does things we just love.
This is adorable and hilarious. And her voice sounds lovely at this pitch in my opinion.

I like those last ones as well especially the denim session Thanks. I liked Frida's look in both. (I like most of her looks, but this "early days" appearance stood out.)

Wow. These are new and terrific. I wonder what was going on with that horse and carriage ride. Did Frida win a pageant? Great finds!

Thank you, Roxanne. Interesting about A-ha too, Shoshin and Take on Me/Take a Chance on Me. Who knows what goes through a songwriter's mind, be it other writer's lyrics or groups or whatever, that inspires a new song (well, songwriters do, I suppose ).

I got one! "So Long"
You think you're gonna make me softer with your fancy car. Ah-ha-ha-ah But I can tell you all your tricks ain't gonna get you far. Ah-ha-ha-ah
Side note: Anyone know if the aforementioned Norwegian group may have been inspired by Abba, which featured the Norwegian born Frida, for their name?

Beautiful picture, mwilson, very nice birds, too! The girls always had a great sense of top-of-the-line knitwear. Thanks. They are both so very photogenic. Gotta love that can can shoot as well.

Hello all. I am a recent Abba fan. Just about a year ago I saw the show Mamma Mia expecting to tolerate the story and like the music. I am a fan of disco and have always associated Abba with that genre. I only knew a handful of their songs going in. I had no idea they had so many good ones and spanned so many genres and styles of music. Turned out I loved both the play and the songs and have become an avid fan of the group since. I enjoy these forums where we as fans can have fun and learn from each other.
