I was wondering if anyone can help me out with something. Have read in a couple of places online that the vinyl LP version of The Visitors has a locked groove at the end of Side Two with the sound of the ticking clock at the end of "Like An Angel Passing Through My Room" continuing indefinatley until the needle is taken off the record.
The copy of the LP that I have (which I think is a British pressing) almost certainly didn't do this but ended in the normal way with a few seconds of silence after the track finished before the turntable shut off.
Does anyone know did some versions of this album actually have this locked groove at the end? If so does anyone know which versions have it?

I don't remember, but I do seem to recall that the sound of the ticking clock continued for what seemed like a long time.

I have it. My original version bought at the time of release in 1981.

I would imagine the UK edition had it, as Super Trouper did with the applause. However, who has ever had a player that doesn’t automatically lift the stylus off the record? I haven’t, and our first one was a 1960s box one and even that was automatic.
