Hello from a silent-these-days member. With the 40th anniversary of Voulez-Vous imminent, does anybody know of any official plans to commemorate it? I'm thinking specifically of a box set of coloured vinyl singles like we had with Arrival and The Album? Is such a treat likely to be a 3-disc or 6-disc set - i.e. would SNC and GGG be omitted because they weren't originally appeared on the album? - Summer Night City/Medley
- Chiquitita/Lovelight
- Does Your Mother Know?/Kisses Of Fire
- Angeleyes/Voulez-Vous
- Gimme! Gimme! Gimme! (A Man After Midnight)/The King Has Lost His Crown
- I Have A Dream/Take A Chance On Me [live]

Actually I think we will get both the box of coloured vinyls and the separate picture discs as well as the half-speed mastered album. Somehow I don't think Universal would want to discontinue the series. And I guess the 6-disc set is more likely (Fernando was also part of the set in spite of not being on the album).
However, no official information about the releases yet. I guess we might hear about them from the Official ABBA Fan Club in the March issue of their magazine.

I hope you're right. I just think it's odd that nothing has been mentioned yet from official sources. Maybe they want to nail down a release strategy that doesn't clash with the eventual release of the new material....

They don't usually announce their plans earliear than 2-3 months prior to the actual release (the most remarkable exception being of course the two new songs :-)), so I would not be afraid. In fact, it's not even certain it will be released exactly on the anniversary (i.e. in April) - it can be almost anytime this year. And you're probably right that they're aware it should not interfere with the release of the new songs (if we get them at all…)
