I have a great many other interests, besides ABBA and Music.
I've long wondered what other interests other ABBA Fans have...
Will you please Post here and tell us all what else you are interested in?
I want to see if any of you share any of my other interests. I'd love to know...
Thanks...

My main interest, over and above ABBA, is, indeed, music. Much of my time is spent practising and playing piano and guitar. In another life - and with greater insight and focus when I was younger - I would have aimed to be a professional musician, probably more on the composing and recording side than performing. Apart from that, I'm interested in reading about how the human brain works, AI...and disappointment that Arsenal can't compete with Man City, Liverpool, and Chelsea. Minimalism really appeals to me at the moment, and the philosophy that experiences matter more and mean more than accumulating material 'things'.

Besides ABBA, I like gardening, doing Crosswords, cooking, reading, watching TV, I also go to the local community house where I play Rummy with a group of people and looking after my cat.

I'm quite into sewing, drawing, and video editing, though the only reason I'm good at those things is because of ABBA, haha. I also like cosplaying and collecting stuff (not just ABBA things, but toys, dolls, etc).

Travel is the main interest really, I've been lucky and seen a lot of this world of ours, favourites include, Italy, Egypt, Canada, New Zealand.. I guess I could go on and on as each has its own interest.
Reading, a big part of my life, banal books really..lol Stephen King, Jo Nesbo... autobiographies...used love Agatha Christie..
Gardening, an age thing..lol
Walking, cycling.. music...nothing out of the ordinary really.. occasionally socialising..lol
TV ..to a point.. I get bored after a couple of hours.. Walking Dead...
Life has been good to me so far, so no complaints I'm busy doing nothing sometimes...
Future interests.. something creative...

I had a load of interests outside of ABBA until 5 years ago, when unexpected parenthood changed everything. I haven't been to a single grown-up movie in the cinema since then and there was a point where I could have understudies any given role in the Toy Story series! But, while the beautiful boy is everything I am starting to get back to doing some stuff for myself. As the song goes, music was my first love, and I have been working on an album for the last 5-and-a-bit years. Electronic pop. Dark (ish). All originals. My producer and I have been working on each other's downtime, so you can imagine that all kinds of things have slowed progress. But the end is in sight. Principal recording is finished and mixing begins in the coming weeks, with the taster track (single?) emerging soon after. While that has been simmering ever so slowly in the background, I started writing new material with an old friend and we laid down tracks during brief lulls in our respective schedules. So it's starting to look like two albums might emerge close to each other - one electronic, one more organic pop.
I used to devour books but I really only get to read on my commute now. Just finished The Trumpet Shall Sound, a novel in which George Fredric Handel is imagined as a gay man. It's a really lovely book. I am looking forward to Kate Atkinson's new book, a return to her Jackson Brodie series. She's such a clever and absorbing writer.
I like to cook too. Nothing too formal. I only use recipes when I bake and, when it comes to savoury food, I tend to make it up as I go along. After all these years, the results are mostly good.

I like: -Making graphic arts (this is obvious. I have threads of it already made here) but I do offer a bit of original graphic work as well as fan graphic work more than imaginary album artworks. The originals may as well be done someday but not later or sooner. -Frequenting forums for information. -Being interested in archives: I am a classic animation buff (particularly American animation) as well as an enthusiast for early Hollywood... PRE-Hayes Code soundies, Laurel and Hardy and all - 1920s-1940s though I don't consider myself as loyal to that as being a loyal ABBA fan. I get very fervent when there is a crisp 35mm print scanned for the first time since its first screening and it's like viewing a new world. I also had read Jody Rosen's "The Day Music Burned" from New York Times so I'm quite apt of it and constantly thinking of what's the best medium for recovery/preservation/backward compatibility. -anything high fidelity so I'm quite disparaging toward retro hipsters who like Polaroids, cassettes, VHS, lo fi and all the rubbish and leaning toward a much more faithful medium that captures as if it was the human eye itself - mostly digital, which is easier to work with than that of analogue. -Computers, IT and all of that great stuff. With them being everyday objects I look beyond the consumer use and try to get a grasp of how it's done backstage. Everywhere I see in programs they have a particular language written and distinct algorithm implemented though I have yet to understand how. As Richard brought up about artificial intelligence, that is invigorating... There's that undeniable appeal to me.

I could make an extract of most of the posts above and that would be it My main interest really is music. Not only ABBA, I listen to loads of other artists… I used to play accordion when I was a kid but I loathed it so much that I quit very early - I always wanted to play the piano, even back then, but my parents couldn't afford one. Today I play sometimes (as my wife is a professional pianist and thus we have a piano at home) but unfortunately I don't have time (and will) to make something of it. But it intrigues me a lot and I regret I've never been able to pursue this interest more. I used to read a lot but there's very little time these days as I have a time consuming job and am a father of two little children. Hopefully I'll get back to it one day A few years ago I was a volleyball freak, playing up to 5 times a week but unfortunately had to stop due to health problems. This sport however remains close to my heart. I like watching movies but at present it's mostly cartoons for obvious reasons HOMETIME, you're not alone in this

Hi, Besides my passion for music ( especially ABBA ), I love gardening, reading, quizzes, jigsaw puzzles, natural history, watching the TV hospital dramas and gardening, cookery and property programmes as well as the soaps. Years ago, I loved to play chess but alas lost my chess set or a work colleague borrowed it and never returned it. I'm still a little " puzzled " as to why I didn't get it back.

I read a great many Non-Fiction Books. Unfortunately, (for my Finances), I have so many interests, that my spending on Books is huge. As is my Collection of Books. When I feel 'Down' I go on the Amazon UK Site and buy Books. In 2022, (to May 21st), I have bought more Books, than I've ever bought in any Year. Already, they are in 4 different piles, in my Bed Room! My favourite Books are the 411 Books of David Paulides. He is an Ex-USA Cop, who compiles detailed Books about People, who vanished, in the USA, Canada, UK and Australia. Many of them have disappeared in National Parks. Many of their vanishings are strange, eerie and mysterious. Something is taking a lot of those People. A lot of them are Children. The Books are scary and fascinating. Mr. Paulides has many Videos on YouTube. His Books are expensive. I am just glad, that he only does a New Book every 2 to 3 Years! He has his own Web Site - CANAM Missing Project. Many People, who 'disappear', are never, ever found again. Many are found, but in very strange circumstances. Personally, I think that more than one 'thing' is taking those People... LINK BELOW:link
