For Agnetha, The day before you came hairdo. PERFECT. Has she ever commented why she chose it and what she thought of it ? Sad she did not keep it for lomg. For Frida, the look in the Gimme x 3 video. Great she kept it on the 1979 tour. The hair is very simple but also brings out her beauty to the max.
I have always been under the impression the girls chose their hairstyles themselves without advice from hairdressers ? But those best hairstyles make me wonder if they were chosen by hairdressers because they suit them so well.

Agnetha generally looked OK until just before The Winner Takes It All video. Frida looked fine mostly apart from the perms, the worst of which was 1980-81. And then of course that hairstyle from One of Us onwards.
Difficult to judge hairstyles that were the fashion then but aren’t now. However, Agnetha did not look good from mid 1980 to mid 1982. And Frida looked awful with that post-Benny hairstyle from One of Us onwards. Nothing to do with fashion as I’m going on what I thought at the time. However, it wasn’t just their hair. Other reasons that I won’t go into here.

Frida- KMKY video. The layered look was spot on for her. Colour, too. Style-wise, she never looked better.
Hackshully, the same goes for Agnetha, really. 1977 was a stellar year for the girls. Both looked extraordinarily beautiful during that period. Flawless. I'm thinking Sydney Press Conference. Just WOW.
I don't even know where to begin with the perms. A crime against humanity.

Agnetha's hairstyle with her hair long at the back and fringe around to the side was a favourite of mine and started a trend. Nothing wrong with perms if I didn't have my hair permed it would be dead straight and greasy Yuck.

Hello, I have no idea what year this picture is from but it is my avatar from a YouTube video made by "cynthia xx". This is the picture at 2:07 I have loaded for my avatar. So, this is my favorite hairstyles for them. There are also some very nice pictures of both Agnetha and Frida in her video.

Rush, to me it looks like the picture is from somewhere between September 78 and March 79 but I can be wrong of course. When I chose Frida´s best hair styles that from the Summernightcity - Chiquitita period was one of the top contenders together with her look in77.

Collectively? Without question 1977.
Individually?

And also Agnetha in the I Do, I Do video (the one where they’re having the picnic).

I actually quite like Frida’s ‘screw you, Benny’ hair in 1982.
It’s her Super Trouper perm and heavy make up that is unfortunate, imo. I’m not a fan of any perm be it Frida or Kevin Keegan!
Agnetha’s worst era is that circa 1987 leather jacket/should pads/hair-up look.

For both ladies, the 1977 tour by a mile! Loved Agnetha's plait she had whilst on stage! Never been a fan of perms. They now seem to have swapped style types, Agnetha wavy and Frida straight!

For both ladies, the 1977 tour by a mile! …which is probably the reason why that look was chosen for the ABBATars. It’s a classic look, and Frida’s best hairstyle I’d say (though the 1979 tour straighter style also looked good). Frida’s various perms were no worse (and likely better) than Agnetha’s horrendous One of Us look. In When All Is Said and Done it was kind-of OK but by One of Us had grown out a bit and was starting to look straggly. However, the only half-decent hairstyle Agnetha had from mid-1980 to early 1982 was the one that (for want of a better example) appears on the UK Lay All Your Love on Me sleeve. Why she went on to have that poodle perm is beyond me.
