This 02 ABBA Exhibition is far bigger, and more comprehensive, than the previous London ABBA Exhibition, which was at the Southbank Centre, in London, from 14th December 2017 to 29th April 2018. The 02 ABBA Exhibition will run from 6th December this Year, to 31st August 2020. Tickets are £27 each. Even Frida has commented on it, which is a change, from us only hearing from Benny & Bjorn, for comments about ABBA. ABBA’s Frida Lyngstad says: "From our Eurovision Song Contest win in Brighton in ’74 to the present day, the UK has long held a special place in ABBA’s heart, and we have always strongly felt the love and support of our British fans. It’s with celebration that we work with Jude Kelly CBE towards this major exhibition and can’t wait for fans to discover a host of surprises in December!" NOTE -- I wonder if ABBA will use the 02 Exhibition, to 'introduce' us to The ABBAtars - and at least one of the New ABBA Songs? They may do that when we get closer to its final Month - August 2020. I've been to the exhibition now and can thoroughly recommend it.
Each studio album has a room to itself. You are given an audio guide upon entry, and can listen to Benny and Björn, amongst others, talk about how they experienced the time of ABBA.
I am really impressed with the 'Waterloo' room because you actually walk into the 'Brighton Dome' and can sit in the mock theatre, and watch clips of Eurovision 1974 and ABBA's victory.
Hopefully I will go again at some point.

How much did they sting you for this, gazman?
I like the idea of the themed rooms. Only trouble is, and I can't recall where I heard/read it, but rumour has it it's not much cop? I did go to the ABBA WORLD thing at Earl's Court a few years ago and enjoyed it thoroughly, though. Apparently it's much the same thing? There was an option to join the holograms on stage, which I did and pranced about, and then a video of it was uploaded somewhere in cyberspace. I recall seeing it but I've no idea where it is now . Does anybody else have any clue regarding this?

it may have changed, however the word tour is misleading, you “ tour” yourself around, you can take your time in each section.
a lot depends on crowds or not of course, and if someone has been more recent than I , they may well be in a better place to update,
but I went a few years ago and it was ok.. no herded cattle....

Josef - it is not a tour, you can walk around at your own pace, and forwards and backwards into the different rooms as often as you like...the 'guide' is the audio-guide.
I found it difficult to keep the audio-guide going and take good photos at the same time. So I will visit the exhibition again for some good quality pics. Whilst what is visually on offer is good, you don't get the full experience unless you use the audio-guide. It was also nice to listen to album tracks on the guide, for example I sat in the 'Dome' and played a few tracks from the 'Waterloo' album.
The telephones in the 'Ring Ring' room are fantastic and I heard a great many interview clips I had not heard before. And the video displays in the 'Super Trouper' room are a great touch.
Cost is £27, but you might find some discounts on that in various places...

I did the last London exhibition, which was - what ? - 10 years ago? I also visited the Museum in Stockholm, which was the better of the two at the time. I'd like to see the new exhibition but I think I'd prefer to go alone this time. I took my husband to the Museum and I think I was less likely to linger over exhibits in deference to his casual fan patience levels.
Is the shop still ferociously expensive?

I wonder if they're still selling those ABBA brick things? I can't even recall how much they were asking for them. I didn't get them. I'm aware it's all just STUFF that'll end up in a charity shop when I kick the bucket. I did buy an ABBA The Album tin, however (it's already got a dent in it).
The silly thing was me clambering inside that helicopter. In my head, I WAS in ARRIVAL - I was sitting in the seat which had supported Agnetha and Frida's bottoms! I know it was a mock up but I wanted so much to believe it was all real.

Josef - the new helicopter in the 'Arrival' room is too small to allow people to comfortably sit in there - but apparently that hasn't stopped a few fans from trying, so they've had to cover up the entrances with sticky-tape. The ABBA logo bricks were not on sale. From memory, there were CDs, vinyl, things like keyrings and mugs, T-shirts, and teddy bears. There might be more, but I did not stay in the shop for long.
Hometime - I found the shop quite pricey for my budget. I think the keyrings were £8 or so. But, worth a look around. It is not as big as the one at ABBAWorld in 2010.

I've heard from a friend that the final room in the exhibition - the really big one featuring the 4 enormous 'modern-day' photos of the band members, and the big screen summary of their career - has now been filled with bean bags to use up the space and to allow fans to sit and relax before they go into the shop...
