I'm a regular listener to a talk show on a Chicago radio station. The host, Nick Digilio, dislikes ABBA. A few nights ago, a caller said something about the fact that ABBA are in the Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame, but some other artist isn't. Nick's producer, Tom Hush, said on the air, "ABBA is great". I sent a text saying "Thank you, Tom Hush, for saying ABBA is great" and mentioning that I'm an administrator on ABBAChat. He texted me back , saying, "I firmly believe that if someone doesn't like ABBA, they fundamentally don't understand music". It bears mentioning that Tom Hush is young-he is 26 years old (Nick is 54).

To Nick Digilio's credit, he has said ABBA's music was "exquisitely recorded".

ABBA defined pop music and definitely composed and produced unforgettable and timeless pop songs. However, there are those critics who still scorn the band but even they are becoming fewer and fewer.

And how many people in the world know of Nick Digilio? And how many number one singles or albums has he produced? I don’t see Abba losing sleep over his opinion of them. 😂

My point is ...unknown outside of his local area. But he is entitled to his opinion.

Darn! I inadvertently deleted that text.
When I started this thread, I thought people would express appreciation for what the producer said about ABBA rather than comment about Nick's dislike of ABBA.

Here in the UK, you'll find a great many Radio DJs and producers who are very fond of ABBA. I don't listen much to local radio, but BBC Radio 2 is very ABBA-friendly, and I would count Ken Bruce, Steve Wright, Graham Norton and OJ Borg as amongst the ones most likely to play ABBA...
I'm pretty sure any new songs by ABBA will make the BBC Radio 2 playlist. In 2013, Agnetha's first 2 singles from her album made the 'A' list, and the 3rd one made the 'B' list...
