Was on another site and the ask was to name an Abba song to uplift you in these times of living with the virus and social isolation. Some suggestions were Chiquitita, Move on and The Day before you came. I liked that persons choice and reasoning as the song reflects on how boring life seemed before and now we appreciate what we have lost hopefully in the short term. Haunting especially the Meryl Streep version. There were a few other suggestions like The way old friends do. I am sure there must be more.

Madonnaabba, my choice would be " Move On " because it is a great uplifting yet reflective song. " If It Wasn't For The Nights " and " When I Kissed The Teacher " are the next contenders on my list. My goodness, there are so many. With regards to " The Day Before You Came " this undisputed classic would appear on my melancholy ABBA list along with iconic gems, " The Winner Takes It All ", " Knowing Me Knowing You ", " One Of Us ", " Fernando " " Chiquitita ", " Eagle ", " SOS " and so on and so on. Let us not forget the unforgettable anthem that is " Dancing Queen " that is another belter for my uplifting ABBA song choice. Josef, previously mentioned we are indeed spoiled for choice. Yet when you think about it, even the moving sadder songs are uplifting in a way. That's the genius of ABBA !
