Predictions (May 2020) for how ABBA Tars will look

Not seen the review you mention but yes, I think we’re all baffled as to why they chose the 1979 costumes. And it’s worse than that - I think the hairstyles will be more 1977 (Agnetha still with long hair etc) so it will be a mix of looks that never actually went together. The gold and white 1977 costumes still do look good (and they wore them for a photo session in 1978, suggesting they liked them themselves) so no one can really understand it. Björn even wore one of his 1977 costumes more recently.

The predominantly white 1979 tour costumes look marginally better of the ones from that tour, but I think it’s the more well-known purple and blue versions that they’re using for this.

I’m not a fan of photo threads for the sake of it, but here, we could do with someone posting photos of all the different 1977 and 1979 costumes. Both eras are variations on the same theme but I think they each wore at least two types (apart from Benny who probably wore the same one!)

Frida and Agnetha chose the 1979 era for the Avatar project. Björn has already confirmed it.
