Do you mean an anagram game that's divided into two games: an Abba-themed one and a general knowledge one? What kind of lyrics quizzes should we play, I understand there's different kinds? A hangman was also suggested?
Sort of, let's say an anagram of ABBA songs and an ABBA lyric quiz and a separate general knowledge anagram and quiz. Sporcle have a wide selection of ABBA themed quizzes etc and general knowledge. I have played them over and over and it is great fun.
An Abba anagram game (self-explanatory) A general knowledge anagram game (also self-explanatory)
Then an Abba related quiz, I just accidentally thought of one, do you like it, if you give an Abba related hint (any kind) and the rest have to guess what it means? There's also usually a word only the one asking knows you're not allowed to guess or you lose, do you prefer the game with or without it?
The non-Abba related one could be the same game or a different one, there's always the classic this and that, the association game, keep a word, add a word, drop a word or I've heard of one where you ask questions like what's your favourite colour, just throwing ideas, no need to like them all or is there any other games we could think of? Then the hangman which was suggested.
There's the old idea of last letter first, where somebody posts a song title and the next person has to post a song title with the last letter. For instance, you start the thread with, say, Waterloo: the next person has to post an ABBA song title that begins with O. It's pretty easy.
On another forum, I saw a game where people had a "conversation" with song titles - to make it work, you'd really have to make it ABBA and non-ABBA. So someone could post "I Wanna Dance With Somebody" and someone could reply with "I Don't Wanna Dance" or "Let's Dance"... Depending on who gets on board, it can sometimes be pretty funny.
Let's begin with a lyrics round. Here are 20 lines from ABBA songs. Some are just parts of lines to make the quiz more challenging. Can you identify each song ? I just hope my questions are correct. Good luck.
1. I was in the seventh heaven. 2. Only a week since we started. 3. Work I have to do. 4. There's a special love. 5. In the ashes of our lives. 6. One look and you're hypnotised. 7. Until the final hour. 8. A lover or a friend. 9. Now I'm under their spell. 10. Silence ever after. 11. With letters to be read. 12. What if I eat you ? 13. It used to be so good. 14. At the breakfast table. 15. Caught in a landslide. 16. And we sat down in the grass. 17. The funny tricks of time. 18. I see it and I hear it. 19. Staring at the ceiling. 20. Like a summer evening breeze.

Did I wreck it by answering all the questions...? 18 was the big challenge for me.
I've had an idea for an ABBA game! I don't know if anyone would like to play it sometime, though? Looking at the above, it made me realise that a story (NOT Mamma Mia! 😆) could be woven around random lines from ABBA songs. It needn't have too rational a storyline; in fact, it could be quite humourous and not make much sense. A bit like word association. Say one person posts: .."here is where the story ends..."(Knowing Me, Knowing You) the next person could post, "you'll think you're in paradise" (Angeleyes) and the next, "was it just a dream?" (Dance WTMSGO). The only rule could be that each subsequent lyric has to be from a different song from the previous but of course you could go back to whichever song you like after.
Well, it's an idea anyway! Could be fun. Maybe. Or not. 😆
Well done Tony, you have scored 21 out of 20 because yours truly did not realise when compiling the quiz that part of the line " at the breakfast table " features in both OMOW and STMF so that merits an extra point to you. I must have had a slight senior moment at the time. Josef, let's " take a chance on " your brilliant idea and see which " winner takes it all ".
Josef, I like that idea! First of all, do you mind if I move the game being played here into its own thread? Also can I start a few games that everyone seem to be the most interested in? All of you can still suggest games on this thread if you'd like to play something! I left out the Hangman and the rest that no-one seemed interested in but say if you are! The general knowledge quiz that was suggested is still missing, is anyone interested in the hint game or do you have other ideas?
It says, ''If ABBA formed now they'd be called...."
I tried Google search and other images came up which led to this but the final word isn't visible. I guess it must be an anagram of 'ABBA', education-related. It's late and I'm sleepy so my brain isn't working too great. Should be easy to figure out.
