I’ve recently started posting weekly piano cover versions of ABBA classics on YouTube which you may enjoy. Today’s song was Fernando:
My ballad version of Super Trouper has gone down well:
One of my own favourite songs is The Day Before You Came, and I did a version similar to Benny’s own piano version:
My most popular YouTube video is One Hour of Relaxing ABBA Piano Music:
I hope that you enjoy my music inspired by the wonderful originals!

I love these, Mark. Super Trouper, in particular, is a bit of a revelation. The chorus melody is lovely, and it seems to recall some Scandinavian folk music.
Thanks for posting them. I've subscribed to your channel and followed you on Spotify.

Wonderful playing, Mark. Agree about Super Trouper: your piano solo version of it is great. But it's all good! So glad you came onto the forum so I could discover your playing.

Another good one, Mark!
I agree with those who think I've Been Waiting For You is one Agnetha's best (if not the best) vocal leads in ABBA, even though I feel, like some others, that the arrangement in the recording is a bit over-fussy.
But your piano version proves, again, how great some ABBA songs stand on their own as instrumentals.:-)

Coming up at 5pm today is my version of The Way Old Friends Do. I've tried to strip this back and really focus on some of the subtle harmonies which come out in Benny's accordion playing. It's a beautiful song, and I hope you enjoy my piano cover of it.

Another lovely version, Mark. Your performances are revealing lots of gorgeous things I'd missed in these already beautiful songs.

Here's another piano cover of one of the classics: Summer Night City. I've tried to take the verse and make it more of a ballad and keep everything a bit more low-key than the original to fit the piano cover. Hope you enjoy it.

That version of Summer Night City is fantastic. The Asian feel that you've brought out in that riff is particularly gorgeous.

Thanks for your kind comments!
Just an update on my ABBA piano covers: I've just posted a ballad version of Dancing Queen, and just before Christmas I did a live hour-long concert of ABBA piano music which you may enjoy.

I'm an ABBA fan who is not the biggest fan of Dancing Queen - though I think the vocals from Agnetha and Frida are fantastic. But I love your ballad version, Mark. It transforms my perception of it. For me, a wonderful 'reimagining' of the character of the song.
