I hadn’t heard Someone Else’s Story being sung by a man before. It works quite well. The song is one of the absolute best non-ABBA Benny Andersson compositions (though I realise it is a Voulez-Vous reject).

This is lovely. It was such a shame that this song didn't make the cut for the first Chess album. Svetlana/Barbara Dickson needed another song. The tally of great songs from this musical is really high.
But I had no idea that this song started life during the Voulez-Vous sessions!! Thanks for that titbit. Do you have any info on its working title? Fascinating!

This has some information: www.abbaomnibus.net/ask/qa_dec19.htmThere used to be a short clip of Lady Bird or Ladybird on YouTube, but it seems to have been removed. No doubt some fans will have it.

The song index on ABBA Omnibus also has some more information.
This is the definitive version (IMO), for anyone who may not have heard it:

Hmm, I was curious when I saw it was Josh Groban singing, as he is really good and I think it was an excellent choice to let him play the Russian in the London concert version. But I was very disappointed by his performance here. He can do better than this. Too much vibrato for my taste... no, I regret to say I don't like it. By the way, have you noticed that he's actually reading the lyrics? And have you heard this version by Helen Sjöholm?:
