Great to hear from you again, Eddie! (Using your new member name.) Depression must be a terrible thing to have to deal with, and I'm so glad you've come through a bad patch and rejoined the forum.
Couldn't agree more about how wonderfully life-enhancing music can be for our mental wellbeing - and especially ABBA now, of course!

It's great to have you back, Eddie. And at such a joyful time too! Glad the new music is giving you such a lift.

Tony, I don't mind Eddie or Edmund it doesn't matter. Alan, thank you very much for your kind wishes. Lots of exciting news about ABBA's wonderful comeback of which I'm sure will be an interesting topic for discussion.

Thank you, Edmund. Good to see you here, too. The old gang back together, huh? Seriously, the more the merrier. Its always good to share our thoughts with other fans. We're all very different but that's great. We still share our love for ABBA's music and that will always remain our common bond.

Strangely enough I’m the opposite. I seem to have accepted ABBA’s reunion almost as though it was always going to happen! Obviously it helped that we knew about two songs for over three years, but now that there is a full album, I’m finding myself dividing the intervening decades by a journey towards this.

So the 1980s (from 1983 onwards) were the ABBA dark ages. No real change there as they always were, but this was the time that was furthest from a new album.

By the 1990s we’re a quarter of the way there (though some light relief in that three previously unreleased songs were released, along with the ABBA revival).

Even by the millennium we were still only half way there. This was marked by the ABBA studio album remasters and re-designs. We didn’t know it, but the centred titles introduced then would be carried forward and eventually used for Voyage.

The three-quarters time was marked with the release of “From A Twinkling Star…” but still some way to go.

Somehow all events in the last 40 years, both in the world and personally, are now measured by how far away they were from this new album. Absolutely bizarre!
