Don't know if this thread has much chance to survive, but let's give Universal and ABBA a real picture of what fans want I'm a bit spoilt, being a Roxette fan and seeing Per Gessle's generosity, so basically I think everything should be released. But if I should choose just a few tracks, I would pick Rubber Ball Man / Under My Sun; Hamlet; Monsieur, Monsieur and Just Like That.

Hi Michal. Definitely Hamlet for me - it's sublime. Those vocals are beautiful and so precise. I adore it.

Alib, I totally agree with you. I have " Thank You For The Music " ( 4 x CD box set ) and when I first heard " Hamlet " on ABBA Undeleted ( CD 4 ) I was blown away. Awesome. I am keeping quiet about " Just Like That " as their is divided opinion about that track. I think it is a lost gem but others don't. We have to respect the wishes of others.

I don't think you need to keep quiet about Just Like That. While some people think it's brilliant and others don't, I still think most people would like to see it released. There are just reservations about it being called "hidden gem" - it seems many fans think the verses are quite weak or agree with Benny that the verse and chorus don't work well together. I think the original verse is much better than the one in the Gemini version.

Benny and Björn seem to think you can put the genie back in the bottle. The fact is, it’s out there. And not just once but in three different mixes. If it had never leaked then there would have been a genuine argument for keeping it under wraps, but it seems they’d rather people listen to poor-quality bootlegs than release it officially. The verses are weak but might sound better if heard properly. The chorus is absolutely amazing. I’d even settle for just that being released separately - the segment from ABBA Undeleted looped to about three minutes (there are such versions on YouTube).

The chorus was released separately, even if only as a promo: www.discogs.com/release/3434126-ABBA-Dream-World I have this promo and Just Like That is absolutely glorious and uplifting. Even the sax sounds somewhat acceptable. I like the original verses and I would release the track as it stands.

JLT is absolutely hauntingly beautiful and it is very unfortunate that both Benny and Bjorn dislike it so much. To me it is a complete song and " a banger " at that. Does " Hovas Vittne " qualify as an unreleased ABBA track ? It is a quirky song even if it was performed in Swedish.

I would love to see full versions of 'Just Like That','Rikky Rock 'N' Roller', 'Burning My Bridges', 'Autumn Days (Hamlet)', 'Rubber Ball Man' and 'Giving A Little Bit More' get released and I consider 'Hovas Vittne' as well as its never had a release on CD on any compilation I was actually quite surprised that it didn't appear on the Complete Studio Recordings box set in 2005.
I also like 'Baby' (Early version of Rock Me)

Thank you Adam for clarifying " Hovas Vittne " as an unreleased track. I can remember looking at a photo of ABBA dressed in their Eurovision outfits. They were performing the song for Stig's birthday. It is a jolly song.

I'd like to hear the various mixes of Summer Night City. In fact, I'd like to hear EVERYTHING AꓭBA ever recorded...all the demos, outtakes, even the bum notes. Bring it all on.
Actually, I'm not too fussed. Great if stuff is released, no big deal if not. I'm more or less happy with what we've got.

I'd like to hear the "Chiquitita Story" - if FATSTAPA is a fair example, it should be fascinating. I'd like to get the boogiewoogie version of DYMK out there too. And what would have been the single edit/mix of IIWFTN. Naturally, JLT needs to be there but also the demos of A Little Bit More, Crying Over You, Burning My Bridges. I know that Undeleted covers most of these anyway, but snippets are frustrating and unsatisfying. Place them in a documentary setting for context, if necessary. I'd also love to hear the four remixes that Micke Tretow was commissioned to produce in the early 80s.
It'd be great to get the recorded rehearsals for the 1979 tour. Hearing the live takes of OMOW, TKHLHC, Under My Sun etc, would be fantastic.

But it's highly unlikely, I think. If there is any live release in the future, I think it will be the recordings from the 1977 tour. But I still hope they may use some of the rehearsals for the ABBAtars concerts. AdamDawson2003, Hovas Vittne... how could I have forgotten about that one? Great song, funny lyrics. I have it in great quality on a bootleg but I still think it deserves to be released properly. Maybe even on a limited vinyl with Sång Till Görel on the b-side. Just for fun and fans joseph , oh yes, bring out EVERYTHING! - It will never happen, unfortunately.

Thank you Adam for clarifying " Hovas Vittne " as an unreleased track. I can remember looking at a photo of ABBA dressed in their Eurovision outfits. They were performing the song for Stig's birthday. It is a jolly song. ABBA wore their Eurovision outfits in 1981 when performing 'Hovas Vittne' although the trousers that Agnetha wore in 1981 were not the same ones she wore in 1974 I do like 'Hovas Vittne' and part of the melody was used in Merano in Chess in the line 'Where breathing in will turn you on, where water tastes like wine', I really wish that ABBA had recorded 'Hovas Vittne' in English it would have been very interesting. I regard 'Every Good Man' as an ABBA demo and in the Tim Rice podcasts he actually says it was written for ABBA but it would be nice to hear it in full along with the various outtakes of 'The Day Before You Came'. It would be lovely to finally hear the full version of 'In The Arms Of Rosalita'. Hovas Vittne As I mentioned above the trousers that Agnetha is wearing in this performance of 'Hovas Vittne' are not the same trousers she wore at the 1974 Eurovision Song Contest.

Thanks for your post Adam. You are absolutely spot on about Agnetha's trousers. When you reach my age you start experiencing a fair few " senior moments ". I will watch the You Tube footage that you have posted.

Agnetha had already had 2 children at this time and the other trousers didn't fit anymore she was 30/31 in this performance

Yes I would love to hear the full version of In the arms of rosalita too. they did talk about doing a medley like the did for From a twinkling star to a passing angel if they did not want to put out a full ITAOR. I would be happy with that. I don't understand what all the fuss about Just Like That is yes it's an ok song but the way people go on about it, well it would have been out there well before now.
