Sad to hear of the death of Ronnie of The Ronettes girl group. They recorded some great pop songs, and she had a fascinating, distinctive, if not beautiful (imo) voice. 'Be My Baby', their biggest hit of the early '60s, is widely highly regarded; and Brian Wilson of The Beach Boys, I've read, felt he had never achieved anything as good. Although I don't agree with him about that, I think 'Be My Baby' is a fantastic pop track:
