I have an idea: A streaming site devoted to ABBA’s catalogue in which every song is remastered into high fidelity, Dolby atmos - but with a twist...
There could be multiple mixes of every song, or the ability to adjust the mixes according to personal preference.
You could listen to a song with a Frida, or Agnetha, bias or karaoke the songs yourself. Personally I’d turn down the drums in The Winner Takes it All, and turn up the harmonies.
How would other people listen to the songs if such a site existed?

Only somewhat related to your topic, but I would absolutely love a full collection of official ABBA instrumentals. To be able to hear the full detail of some incredible tracks, without vocals, would be spectacular.

That’s a great reason abbafanie. They’d be a joy to listen to instrumentally or just the vocals (as I’ve heard on YouTube).
The songs would take on a very different feel.

Exactly, there are some decent versions on YouTube where they have managed to mostly isolate and remove the vocals to leave an instrumental, but it's not as "clean" as an official instrumental. I suppose we'll just have to hope!

You have " my thumbs up " Voulez and welcome to ABBAchat. I would love to hear HD versions of ABBA songs in full glory. I wouldn't mind instrumentals or remixes either. There are lots of demos on You Tube for us to check out as well as ABBAfanie as just pointed out.

Great idea but unlikely to happen, I think. However I would be in seventh heaven if I could dissect the tracks and listen to the isolated tracks individually, be it vocals or instruments!

This would have been big in the early 2000s, but when you have big streaming services overtaking niche sites, it would be muzzled and too niche to be like that one time where Jammit has licensed songs from record labels and published stems to play along to (The app and site has since been shut down around 2015 or 2016 IIRC, and others have salvaged whatever they can get) Recently there is a site called MIX THE MUSIC which uses a proprietary format for users to open the multitrack files of a commercial song (e.g. Carly Rae Jepsen's Call Me Maybe) and play around with it - the feature is limited as it's licensed for personal use rather than commercial use and you can't really save your own mixes. Realistically, if ABBA softens its mythical Disney magic aura where only trusted people can hear the ingredients and others are limited to hearing it, the licensing could be fair play for them and the website. As for Dolby Atmos; I might have not heard Voyage on Dolby Atmos (I ended up spending more time looking for DOLBY ATMOS compatible headphones than activating it) but I did experience Dolby Atmos at a cinema so I can say that ATMOS is quite immersive and unlike anything I've heard - ABBA's deliberate arrangements would fit well with Dolby Atmos and excel in certain areas where quadraphonic, 5.1 surround fail to grasp. I agree that some of their back catalogue should be remixed for Dolby ATMOS, if possible (but then, it's a relatively new technology since 2012, so they could had go with the tried and true surround remix if they were given the chance to refine and revisit without embarrassment) Another gimmick like DONDA Stem Player would fit the bill for a criteria from "ABBA Stream", for a place like adjusting the mixes in accordance to preferences, as another option. TL;DR Good idea but too niche and financial pain in the arse for Polar Music. They would have a better bet licensing stems and multitrack to critics, reviewers (Rick Beato) and other vendors (Mix The Music, Dutton Vocalion) specializing in music production.

Great responses!
I think the band have shown great confidence in their brand by coming back together (and making great music again) but, in my opinion, the ABBA brand is so big that it should stand on its own feet independently. Why not have a streaming site that everything is channeled through, and limit the amount of catalogue that Apple/Spotify are allowed to show? Passers-by to ABBA’s music could get the greatest hits on Apple and the fans could get everything through a private site. The universe doesn’t revolve around Apple. A dedicated site could give the complete media package.
