It's very good. I'd like to hear the complete song. I hate it when a song is shortened.
This isn't the first time Dancing Queen has been given the ballad treatment. I notice online that many people are saying they didn't realise Dancing Queen was so melancholic and even arguing that it isn't, that it's a happy song when it's actually both. For me, that haunting sadness was always evident and irresistible to me- even as a young boy. I couldn't put it into words (still can't, really) but I knew it was about the passing of time and how even in the midst of a 'good time' we know it won't last.

Yes indeed. Quite good. But I would have loved it more if it was given a Bill Evans-esque treatment. These mere, bare triads the pianist plays don't give enough air or dreaminess/desolate/loneliness/coldness that complements the slow tempo...  |
