I'm more than happy with Voyage and if it's the last music we ever get from ABBA I have no complaints. However, I do wish Björn and/or Benny would stop with the" No more music from ABBA, this is the last ever" line. After all, they've said this before, with vehemence, and look what happened. After Voyage was released Benny just had to burst everyone's bubble with a line something along the lines of how ABBA weren't even together anymore already. God, was it that difficult? Just let people bask in the thrill of ABBA being back together as an entity again for a little while, please!
Having said that, it's just occurred to me it's good press for the concert "Roll up, roll up! Last chance to see ABBA(tars)!" so it's all good.
I wish I could see the show on my own or just with my sister and a couple of friends.

The annoying thing about this interview is that he says they’re closer than ever etc, and adds this - “I hope in some context or other, Benny and I would write a few more songs. I think there’s much more in us. We can write for other people and other projects.” They’ve been doing that for 40 years for goodness sake! Why other people and not ABBA?

It would be nice if the boys were a little more diplomatic when it came to ABBA's Future, Something like Frida said "Never say Never" or its unlikely, instead of coming down with the Hatchet on Abba, like it is something that has to be pushed immediately back in the Box, When we are all Celebrating the Return of ABBA after 40 years in a different form, let's have that moment first.

If Agnetha and Frida's voices have held up, and if the four of them still want to make music - as Bjorn says he, for one, continues to want to do - then there is no logical reason for ABBA to rule out recording new songs. Ongoing developments of the ABBAtar technology will probably allow visual 'performances' of such new songs for those who would want that. And a new album or two would be welcomed by some of us interested in hearing the music soley on its own account.
Maybe Bjorn saying that he wants to continue doing music, (but not as a member of ABBA), implies that either Agnetha and/or Frida wouldn't be capable enough vocally now, or that Agnetha wouldn't be interested (along with Benny). But of course Frida did say 'Never say never'.
However, Björn and Benny have said 'Never', more or less, and unlike what was said - and thankfully not adhered to - prior to the Voyage album, they will probably stick to it this time, or otherwise prove themselves to be risibly unreliable in what they say..

Regarding new music, I would rather they have a clear answer one way or another. Benny with his "this is it" and Frida's " never say never". I think people are over-interpreting Frida's comments.

As the 'Backing Band' is 'Rockier', than on the ABBA originals - louder - if we, (eventually), get a Soundtrack Album, it will not just be a 'Same Old, Same Old' Collection of ABBA Tracks. They will not sound exactly as they did on Record... We will get a soundtrack and maybe even a "dvd" of the concert, because, if they are not making a profit over this concert, they will have, at least, to recoup the HUGE cost of this operation, which certainly counts in the tens of millions.

NEW ABBA VOYAGE SHOW' ARTICLES
There are Double Page - Colour - ABBA Voyage 'Show' Articles in today's, (Wednesday 25th May), 'The Sun', (Pages 20 and 21), and the 'Daily Mirror', (Pages 16 and 17). (Print Editions). I think that there will certainly be one in the 'Daily Express' too. As well as on the On-line Sites of all 3 'Newspapers'. There is also a Voyage 'Show' Article on the 'Daily Mail' Site. Which will be in the Print Edition also. On Page 21 of 'The Sun', Bjorn thinks that the UK follow-up to 'Waterloo' was 'I Do, I Do, I Do, I Do, I Do'! So, he forgets that 'Ring Ring' and 'So Long' were the UK Singles after 'Waterloo'. He says that 'Honey Honey' should have been the UK follow-up to 'Waterloo'. That ABBA made a mistake. (Agreed). For Christmas, they could release a soundtrack and DVD of the concert and a deluxe edition of Voyage with the 2 unreleased songs and JLT. Then Benny and Bjorn won’t have to answer much about ABBA anymore haha

Hi there,
First post on here and wasn't sure where to post it, so please accept my apologies if it's the wrong place. I'll be attending the show on 30th May and will, undoubtedly, be taking full advantage of the merchandise on offer. Can anyone confirm what size the posters are from the merchandise stands and if poster tubes are available? Many thanks in advance for your assistance.

They are going to make a fortune with this show, as it will run to the end of May 2023 in London.

Doesn't Bjorn have a condition by which he can't recall experiences from his past and doesn't remember much of ABBA's heyday? However, this sort of information is a available at his fingertips, if he was interested. And he does remember the mistake with the UK follow-up to "Waterloo", which he has commented on before.

I'm not sure how many posters may be available, but the main one I've seen is this silhouette poster linked below. It is A2 size (420mm x 594mm) - I ordered it a couple of months ago from the site and it came in a poster tube. Not sure how the items will be sold at the show though, but if I see any tubes when I'm there, I'll let you know too! shopmerch.abbavoyage.com/products/voyage-silhouettes-poster-abb

I can’t see all 4 at all in those pix, unless Agnetha is a foot taller than I imagined!

No it's not Agnetha and Frida, it's Görel Hanser and Svana Gisla (doing production of Voyage together with Ludvig).

Regarding new music, I would rather they have a clear answer one way or another. Benny with his "this is it" and Frida's " never say never". I think people are over-interpreting Frida's comments. I think it’s Benny that’s in charge of it. Björn’s comment about wanting to write more songs with Benny for other projects suggests that he’d really like to do it for ABBA but can’t. Whatever’s going on with Agnetha I don’t know, but she definitely likes being in the studio and recording. I’d say the three of them would be up for more but Benny has said no. The others (well, Björn and Frida anyway) are therefore having to say what they think without making it obvious. Frida is certainly more obvious than Björn though! I can’t believe Björn really wants to write for others again - what would be the motivation? They’ve done it so many times in the last 40 years and not all that successfully (in comparison to ABBA anyway). Also, he has his fingers in so many pies that I’m not sure how he’d have the time to write. Is he just trying to tell Benny something? Closer than ever or in disagreement? Either Benny on one side and the other three on the other, or Agnetha is with Benny.

No mention of the " Voyage " concert on BBC News. Typical ! BBC have always held an anti-ABBA stance.

You know, I bet if someone from the Voyage team is reading this forum, they'll smack their forehead in frustration that nobody thought of that! Ed, I think it's a day early for the news to devote any time to the show. Tomorrow is when the stars come out to play.

Joolie, Nice one ! I think they will perform " Happy New Year " at the beginning of 2023. Hometime, You're right, maybe it is a little early for media conjecture. " The stars are like your teeth, they come out at night ! " ( Not yours, Tony, please believe me. )

Again, this may have already been posted, and may be in the wrong place - bear with me - Bjorn is being interviewed tonight on CNBC - The Conversation at 22:00 GMT. I know it's channel 613 on Virginmedia in the UK, unsure about Sky etc.
