Well that's me happy for the weekend. I am honestly surpised that Agnetha did show up and well done her. That should keep the press off her back calling her a recluse. Just ordered from the voyage merchandise website. abbavoyage.com Voyage limited edition vinyl on sunset red colour.

Great pics and links, thanks, the Ladies look lovely, Very Elegant in Cream, The Press asking mundane questions,
Agnetha said some touching words, and when they were asked if there was more music to come Agnetha, motioned as if to say hush and there was a little silence before, Benny kind of said no.
But it was nice to see them together looking so happy. There was a large Crowd of fans, they were kept well away behind a metal fence for added protection, l think the more rowdy ones, must of been hand cuffed to it.

hum... sounds like a playback voices from their single SOS... and the music, can't say if it is live... unless they had SOS on top of the video...

I'm absolutely over the moon that they are all there, happy tears streaming down my face. They all look fantastic! I just feel so lucky that we had an album and now this, wow!

Nice interviews! I'm glad Benny called NME out on their past snobbery.
That clip that KMKY posted of SOS looks amazing. Shot like a commercial, though. I doubt that clip is from this evening. But it certainly helps build a case for an ABBAtar video for some songs that never had an official video.

Just watched the ABBA footage from the live stream. You really have to feel for Agnetha… she’s probably taken a Valium or two to get through it, and quite frankly, who could blame her? All these people. Moved from one interview to the next, microphones shoved in your face. Barking mad situation to be in. Amused me that she implied she’d forgotten about her two London visits in 2013. And her exaggerated “shh” response to being asked about more new music.
It was lovely. The live stream I saw only showed two interviews, the others were too far away. ABBA were then split into two to do more interviews but I gave up after a while. Whatever Agnetha was taking, it worked!

Yes in the old days, NME Slated Abba, Today quite a different Story, more mainstream, which is good.. I agree the SOS clip looks incredible, and can feel the vibe from the Crowd l am glad they didn't use vocals from live recordings the Sound is fab also.

Some of those Photographers are so annoying the way they bark orders to get their photos, yes, Agnetha was definitely on the ball, it was a dream to watch both Ladies.

This is interesting. No Take A Chance on Me, as had been speculated, but Hole In Your Soul instead.

Or to put it another way, 13 from Gold, 4 from More Gold, 2 from Voyage and one from The Album. The latter is the real surprise as it wasn’t even in Mamma Mia! (was it?) and, aside from Live At Wembley, has only ever appeared on The Album and briefly in The Movie.

A couple more tweets/reviews: Matt Lucas - In case you were wondering, #ABBAVoyage is the greatest show on earth. My jaw hit the floor the moment it began and it’s still down there. Grace - 'ABBA came, saw and made the world a better place -- once again'.

This from the huffington post article I find to be rather... interesting.
-"If I had to nitpick at where some momentum is lost it would be the two songs that didn’t feature the ABBAtars. Instead, Eagle and Voulez-Vous were accompanied by an animated story.
Maybe I was missing something, but not having them perform the latter felt like a missed opportunity, especially after they’d just donned those futuristic Tron-like outfits seen in the promo pics to perform an explosive version of Lay All Your Love On Me, choreographed by the award-winning Wayne McGregor."
It won't surprise me if the image from this mug on the Voyage webstore has something to do with the animated story.

By Album (deluxe editions) 0 Ring Ring 1 Waterloo 2 ABBA 3 Arrival 3 The Album 5 Voulez Vous 2 Super Trouper 2 The Visitors 2 Voyage A quarter from the Voulez Vous era. It’s really the following though, isn’t it: 0 Ring Ring 1 Waterloo 2 ABBA 2 Arrival 3 The Album 3 Voulez-Vous 2 Super Trouper 2 The Visitors 2 Voyage 3 Non-album singles which makes it look a lot more evenly spread. I like the inclusion of Hole In Your Soul, which is a relatively obscure (though great) track. The Visitors and Eagle are great choices too. If there are some rotated tracks, it would be great if If It Wasn’t For The Nights was one of them, as rumoured. I’m surprised at the absence of Take A Chance On Me and Super Trouper, even though I find lesser-known songs more interesting in a way.

Voyage limited edition vinyl on sunset red colour. As if five colours already wasn’t enough (and a sixth in Australia), they have to do another! £35 is considerably more than the others though, and apparently already sold out… shopmerch.abbavoyage.com/

As the 'Backing Band' is 'Rockier', than on the ABBA originals - louder - if we, (eventually), get a Soundtrack Album, it will not just be a 'Same Old, Same Old' Collection of ABBA Tracks. They will not sound exactly as they did on Record... We will get a soundtrack and maybe even a "dvd" of the concert, because, if they are not making a profit over this concert, they will have, at least, to recoup the HUGE cost of this operation, which certainly counts in the tens of millions. Why? They can just choose to spend that.
I do think a release is likely but for other reasons. Everything around the Voyage album release was about making money. Instead of releasing the initial two new tracks as a single and maybe a new compilation with them added, they decided to stretch it to a whole new album, reusing three old compositions in the process. Maybe it was Ludwig who encouraged them to go on, maybe they felt they needed a major new product to sell the show (I'm pretty sure the two new tracks would have been enough for that). Then the album came in a gazillion variants, with all kind of merch. One-track singles. Money, money, money. A new compilation is inevitable, maybe for xmas 2023. It wouldn't surprise me if a 'live' 2022 track is included.

I'm not saying they made this for profit, I'm saying that is a huge investment and they have, like they did during their 77 & 79 tour, at least to recoup the cost.

Friday May 27th - ABBA in UK Tabloids - All of them with Reviews.
(They are sure to also be in the 'Broad Sheets' - 'Telegraph', 'Guardian' & 'Independent').
Here is where ABBA are in the 4 Tabloids, that I got today:
'Daily Mail' - Front Page, and a Double, (Colour), Article on Pages 2 and 3.
'The Sun' - Colour Article on Page 17 and a mention in the Editorial on Page 12.
'Daily Mirror' - Front Page and a Double, (Colour), Page Article on Pages 8 and 9.
'Daily Express' - Front Page and a Double Page, (Colour), Article on Pages 2 and 3.
(ABBA will be in the 'Daily Star' too. 'The Metro' as well).
I was expecting the Media to tear the Show to bits. Instead, they are astonished by it, and love it. All are giving it 4 or 5 Stars out of 5. So, that is a huge relief to me! I was expecting the Press to condemn it, as they are so cruel at times.
So, far, Benny has said that there will be no more New ABBA Songs. That they Recorded 12 for 'Voyage', but 2 are unfinished - and never will be. Yet, a Member of the 'Show' backing Band - Little Boots - claims that Benny let her hear 1 of the 2 Songs - 'Hit By A Train'. I'm just not sure if that is an appropriate Title, when so many People kill themselves in that awful way! But, maybe i'm being over sensitive.
Benny has also said that if any further 'Voyage' Songs get added to the Show, he'd like it to be 'Ode To Freedom'.
