Ive said on numerous occasions I enjoy speculating, what harm can it do and gives a idea of what we think and know each other a little bit more, if it’s not your thing that’s ok, don’t participate, however there are now just a handful of us posting and we need to keep this forum alive if we are to continue......

For what it's worth, Voyage has re-entered the physical album chart at #78.

Personally, I hope that somebody invents a What If machine very soon to prove that I would have been the perfect A&R for ABBA and vindicate my impeccable singles choices! Great wish! I would like to re-design some Cover Artwork...😄

FYI...
As no chart action for Voyage we are back to Gold for those that are interested.
Gold down to 19 in UK album charts, however though it may be dropping it’s sales are still stable approximately 4000 a week, it happens at this time of year as we get closer to Christmas, with a rush of new releases. In a way it shows the manipulation of the charts with streams but hey....Gold will fall but sales will remain. Gold drops to 10 from 9 in best selling albums of the year around 162000 , as Taylor Swifts new album sells/ streams approx 204,000 ironically her last album deposed Voyage from the top....

Gold dropping chart positions, not sales. As you say 4000 a week - and has been like that sonetime. Maybe top 200k sales for this year...
Taylor Swift's #1 debut with 204k is the amount ABBA got with Voyage on opening week.

Just had a thought, the producers of voyage live have always insisted that there would be no dvd of the show. It was only when I took my nephew to an amusement arcade and we tried the VR games that I thought that this may be the route ABBA go down? The live show is immersive, so perhaps you could experience it in your own home? I would love this!!!

I think that the Voyage show should also include some of Agnetha & Frida solo songs from their English solo albums think it would ix the show up a bit i am going to try and get to London to see it sometime next year if I can.
These are the Solo songs that could be in the show with different songs in different shows.

I think this just came out today? It's an interview with Benny & Bjorn. Decent stuff (even if there are no earth-shattering revelations).

Great interview with Björn and Benny. If only Agnetha and Frida were there too. Maybe one day.

The new 45-minute interview with Björn and Benny, filmed in March, and linked by HOMETIME and joseph above, was issued today to mark the first anniversary week of the Voyage album. I haven’t watched it myself yet, but I’ve heard they confirm they did performances of 24 songs for the shows (think we knew that already?). Assuming they aren’t counting the four songs in the current version (Eagle, Voulez-Vous, Does Your Mother Know and Waterloo) that aren’t performed by the ABBATars, this could potentially mean there are eight songs we haven’t yet seen. Speculation, but as we know the London show will continue until at least 2026, this could mean two a year being swapped for existing ones. The four current non-ABBATar songs have to be in there to allow the generators to cool down, so it’s likely that actual performances would have to be taken out each time to accommodate new ones. From songs they’ve mentioned before and with this interview, there could be Super Trouper, Take A Chance On Me, Move On and The King Has Lost His Crown. Not Money Money Money though. Benny confirms that in the interview.

Great interview, shame it’s pre Voyage show then are we never satisfied..also shame no girls...lol.... Perhaps it’s my own interpretation, but towards the very end, when the interviewer asks if there’s going to be another album. Listen to how Benny answers? No album but.... am I reading to much into that...?

Thanks for posting that interview. It would be nice to hear all four of them in a lengthy interview.
Foreverfan, there was no but or hesitation in the answer to a new album. There isn't going to be one.

I've just watched the interview and enjoyed it - I wanted to it go on for longer. It makes a difference watching comfortably on your TV rather than on a computer and I could have sat there for another 45 minutes.
BEWARE of spoilers below!
Some random thoughts and interesting points (if I understood correctly)... I'm surprised they recognised the ABBA sound from "Hej gamle man", as the girls are barely audible on that track. It was interesting that they said the girls were 90% of the ABBA sound and that part of the magic of the vocal sound was Frida stretching her voice to match Agnetha's in pitch, with that metallic effect as a result - I had always put this down to vocal layering. When asked about favourite tracks that weren't singles, Benny mentioned "Eagle", obviously forgetting that it was a single in many countries. I'm glad that they mentioned the film Muriel's Wedding a couple of times, as I'm sure it gave them a leg-up in the 90s and prepared people for the Mamma Mia musical. It seems that certain decisions are still made collectively by the four of them via e-mail rather than just by B&B. Benny said that certain songs had to be in the Voyage show and mentioned TACOM, but it isn't in there, although it seems that he did veto some songs, like MMM. So we have another confirmation that there will be no further album but I wish the interviewer had asked whether there'll be any more music - that is, individual tracks.

There isn't going to be one. I think you missed Foreverfan interpretation. I got the same impression. He said no to a new album, but not to sny new music. Again just my takeaway from what and how he said it,

Without wanting to give false hope to anyone, the interview with Benny and Björn is from before Voyage premiered (unless I'm mistaken). Don't know why it's just being aired now? And as we all know, Benny still said "definitely no" to more music when interviewed on the red carpet with the other three but then added, "..but never say never". So who knows what will happen in the future? I'm not holding my breath. Of course it would be great but I try to be happy with what we have (even if I secretly still want more; it's not a crime).

I know they said No to a new album and not new music. (The question was about a new album)
But would ABBA release new music in the form of one-off songs?
Maybe if people didn't know about two unreleased songs from the Voyage sessions there wouldn't be any hopes raised.
Anyway, this is my interpretation.

I still haven’t watched all of it yet but I have just seen the last bit asking about a new album. It’s a pity they weren’t actually asked about new music or those two unfinished tracks. In answer to johnny’s question, I wish we didn’t know about those two tracks. As it stands it’s a repeat of I Am The City and Just Like That all over again, though those two were complete. I’d rather that they had lied and said they’d only recorded the ten tracks that appear on the album. Then, if the other two did ever get released, it would be a completely unexpected surprise. The only possible home for one-off tracks would be on a deluxe edition of Voyage, in the same way that the natural home for the 1982 recordings is on The Visitors.

Part of the discussion was about use of their music in films and TV series. Perhaps an opportunity for a new one-off ABBA song would be in a major movie (and NOT Mamma Mia 3).

Alan - agree 💯 I wasn't wise to mention those 2 unfinished songs after everything that happened with JLT and IATC Joseph - on the red carpet event, it was 3 of them - no Bjorn talking about new music. Frida was stumped. Agnetha clearly enjoyed winding Benny up who in turn liked being the bogeyman on this subject. I wouldn't intrpret this as only Benny being against. The "never say never" is a reference to Frida's interview on Radio 2. I took from that she was just being polite. A reminder of that Red Carpet interview. I love this: Daron...Links to tickets, new merchandise, Souvenir Programme and Departure Lounge here email.abbavoyage.com/71ZG-AZTO-4A61F26DDC4C128DSJRE73CEB14D5E27D7492/cr.aspx?v=0

Whatever may be in the works, you can rest assured that none of those involved will disclose anything until any such project is complete. Whether it's finishing off the two Voyage outtakes or writing/recording new ABBA music, it will be similar to last year's surprise announcement if indeed anything is forthcoming.
I will continue to hold out hope for one last album and believe that if the muse still serves Benny and Bjorn, Agnetha and Frida will definitely be involved.
It has been obvious for some time that Frida is on board but what surprised me was Agnetha's indicative enthusiasm, evident during her radio interview last year, her written comments and her comments/bemusement on the red carpet in May this year. Bjorn is cautious with what he utters these days, most probably due to a severe reprimanding from Benny (probably in the sack - hahahaha). Benny is just a gruff old bear and strives for perfection, not wanting to diminish the ABBA legacy. If he is secretly toiling away, we will only ever learn of this if the results are to his complete satisfaction and ultimately forthcoming.
I'd love to think that their collective creative juices and sexual chemistry (at least between Benny and Bjorn) is alive and well, which may well lead to new music, preferably an album.

I've long thought a compilation to celebrate their 50 years might be in the cards. In which case this would be a natural home for the two tracks, in just the same way The day before you came and Under attack appeared on the singles collection way back in 1982.

I guess the other matter worth considering is that perhaps these two outtakes simply weren't up to the group's expectations. Generally speaking, a track that doesn't warrant inclusion on an album is considered to be less than but I actually don't subscribe to this belief. Some of my all time favourite tracks (by many different artists) have been relegated to b-side status, issued as latter day bonus tracks or not released at all (we all know the usual suspects). I do recall Benny's comments from last year indicated that the two tracks in question were just unfinished and required some additional work, which may have come down to time constraints (despite the album's gestation exceeding four years, an eventual release date loomed so work had to cease at a certain stage). Therefore, they may be gems but knowing Benny and Bjorn, by the time they even get around to resuming work (if indeed they do), they may well have determined the songs worthless or even plundered sections of them in favour of new compositions. That's why I'm not so convinced that these songs will become bonus tracks on a deluxe version of Voyage or a retrospective collection. I tend to think that if work resumes in any capacity, they will all get bitten by the bug and end up producing a whole album. Perhaps foolish thinking on my part but don't count these guys and gals out yet.

With speculation rife.. It’s was interesting to hear that OTF had been languishing in some draw for 30 years or thereabouts... just waiting to be included on something, Which makes you wonder how much is other draws or vaults ? I guess most artists are the same, and with us being insatiable for new music, will we ever get to know .......
