Elvis Costello wrote a song called 'Shatterproof' which was intended to be included on Agnetha's 1985 album 'Eyes Of A Woman' but it was never included there are various statements that say Agnetha did record 'Shatterproof' and then decided not release it after she wasn't happy with how it turned out and some statements say she didn't record it at all.
If a recording of 'Shatterproof' does exist then it will be interesting to hear Agnetha's version of the song and compare it to the version recorded by Billy Bremner if the statements that Agnetha didn't record 'Shatterproof' are true then I wonder why she decided not to record it.

I hadn't heard Shatterproof until today. I can kind of imagine Agnetha singing it, but I wonder if it would have sat well with the other tracks on EOAW. It's a better song than, say, Save Me (Why Don't Ya).
I love that Elvis Costello wears his love for ABBA so proudly on his sleeve. I've only heard his versions of the three songs he submitted for Frida's SGO album (Imperial Bedroom, I Turn Around and Seconds Of Pleasure). They were on a now unavailable expanded version of his Imperial Bedroom album. I think Phil Collins told him the songs were awful. Personally, I mostly struggled to imagine them sung by Frida. It must have been really disappointing for him that a writer of his calibre failed to land a track on either of his heroines' albums.

It's a better song than, say, Save Me (Why Don't Ya). How very dare you! Bizarrely, I used to love that song when the album came out. Maybe it was the backing vocalists (“save me, save me, save me, save me”). There was something reassuring that it wasn’t just me that was still interested (this album was the last straw for my brother). Whoever these backing vocalists were, they still put some enthusiasm into a mid-80s ABBA solo album. I didn’t know who Eric Stewart was at the time of release. It was only later that I discovered he was by far the best looking member of 10cc and the singer (and co-writer) of I’m Not In Love. It seems his 1979 eye injury did restrict him, and any photos of him with Agnetha are only behind sunglasses. With Jeff Lynne and Justin Hayward (and Eric himself) contributing songs, it really should have been a better album than it actually was.
