Saw on tik tok some news regarding one of the family of Abba, I didn’t want to post anything incase it’s inappropriate, whether a moderator could confirm by private message etc. this is just a fan site so didn’t want to post anything disrespectful or if anyone offended.

Grandson of Frida died, the mother (daughter of Frida) died in 1998. The grandson Jonathan struggled with cancer. I cannot confirm if this news is the truth. If so: what a summary of tragedies Frida did experience during her live. And if so: all my prayers and wishes of strenght go to her.

Jonathan C. Casper, 34, of Costa Mesa, Calif., formerly of York, NY., died on Sept. 15th, 2023. He was predeceased by his mother, Ann Lise-Lotte Fredriksson; maternal grandfather, Ragnar Fredriksson; and paternal grandparents, Francis J. Casper and Trina M. Casper.
He is survived by his father, Charles G. Casper of Nunda, N.Y.; stepmother, Jaime L. Casper of Mount Morris, N.Y., and her parents, Vicki (Skip) Kemp of Pavilion, N.Y.; sister, Alyson Casper, and brother, Francis Joshua Casper, both of Mount Morris, N.Y.; maternal grandmother, Anni-Frid Reuss of Switzerland; and several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Jonathan was born Feb. 5, 1989, in Rochester, N.Y., the son Charles G. Casper and Ann Lise-Lotte Fredriksson/Casper. He was a graduate of York Central School, Class of 2007. Jon enjoyed all types of music and especially loved playing the guitar.
No prior calling hours. A memorial service will be held at on Saturday, Oct. 14, 2023, at 10 a.m. at York United Presbyterian Church, 2662 Main St., in York. Interment will be in Pleasant Valley Cemetery in York.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Ronald McDonald House, 333 Westmoreland Drive, Rochester, NY 14620.

I’ve not seen this announced anywhere else in the ABBA online community and even Frida’s entry in Wikipedia makes no mention of it. As the link above appears to be legitimate, and the information is in the public domain, I am not going to delete the topic. However, I would suggest not mentioning it anywhere else online. I dare say most of the ABBA online community will be aware of it but might not welcome anyone actually saying it. |
