Just to mirror the currently ongoing thread about song titles, what would you have called ABBA's albums if their actual titles had been, for some reason, out of bounds? Which songs (if any) would have made decent title tracks? Or have you got some other, more creative ideas up your sleeve?

To answer my own question, if I had to pick alternative album titles from the available tracks (and restricting my choice to the songs that weren't UK singles, just for the sake of this 'game'), I'd probably go for the following. Obviously, as well as having a bit of oomph in terms of their actual titles, the title tracks have got to be sufficiently radio-friendly to have picked up a decent bit of airplay when the albums came out (much as the track Voulez-Vous did on the UK's Radio 1 when the VV album was released).
Voyage becomes No Doubt About It (a slight cheat, but the single was released quite a long time after the album) The Visitors becomes When All Is Said and Done Super Trouper becomes On and On and On Voulez-Vous becomes Kisses of Fire The Album becomes Thank You for the Music (obviously this was a single much, much, much later) Arrival becomes Tiger ABBA becomes I've Been Waiting for You Waterloo becomes Honey, Honey (a bit naff as an album title, but you'd have got away with it in 1974) Ring Ring (tricky one, this) becomes Love Isn't Easy (i.e. minus the bracketed bit)

If Arrival had been called 'When I Kissed The Teacher', think of the 'saucy' 1970's Carry On- style album cover it could have had. I also thought of 'On and On and On' for Super Trouper but thought an album title like that may have negative connotations. "ABBA should have retired but instead they go on, and on, and on". The music press would have had a field day.

I've always been a fan of album titles that aren't taken from one of the title tracks. Nice to keep the punters guessing :-).

Or album titles that references a lyric but not a title eg in Stevie Wonder's Hotter Than July had that line comes in the song Master Blaster (Jammin)
Maybe The Visitors could have been called "Not Too Old For Sex" 😀
