Ah ha! No, not the Norwegian group A-ha, we're in the wrong section for that Knowing Me Knowing You may have given Alan Partridge his catchphrase, but this ejaculatory expression served ABBA well lyrically on a number of occasions. How many can we think of? One per poster please, for the sake of group participation - unless the responses fizzle out early. Here's mine: Ah-ha ha keep thinkin 'bout his angel eyes
Just a bit of fun, plus I'm intrigued to find out if anyone can dig out an obscure one when the well known examples dry up

Best “aha” anecdote told by Björn, who seemed rather pleased about it:
When a director of “Mama Mia” decided to take out an “aha” from one of the songs for some reason,
the audience went “aha” where it’s supposed to be, so he had to put the “aha” back in. Customers are always right, of course.

Are we really stuck on two: Angel Eyes and Money Money Money? There are a couple more at least. The lack of response is making me think twice about my planned 'feel it/conceal it' sequel

That's more like it So we've got Angel Eyes, Money Money Money, Voulez Vous and Honey Honey. Is that it I wonder? Actually, I reckon Angel Eyes should count double, because the ah ha ha after 'up to her and say' is from a compositional point of view a completely different ah ha ha

OK so I have now listened to every 'ah' on Arrival (the track) and I can't hear a single 'ha'. I'm going to put my hunt for a sixth 'ah ha' on the backburner for a while and start a new search instead.
Björn told Chris Evans that he sometimes cheats a little by using an English rhyming dictionary when he is writing lyrics. I reckon that the dictionary is so well-thumbed that it occasionally falls open at the same place. In Honey Honey, the girls sing of the love machine that is nearly killing them: 'Let me feel it, don't conceal it'. But the feel/conceal couplet crops up in another couple of songs at least, and maybe more. How many can we come up with?

I got one! "So Long"
You think you're gonna make me softer with your fancy car. Ah-ha-ha-ah But I can tell you all your tricks ain't gonna get you far. Ah-ha-ha-ah
Side note: Anyone know if the aforementioned Norwegian group may have been inspired by Abba, which featured the Norwegian born Frida, for their name?

Very impressive! This is the first one that hadn't occurred to me at all. You have single-handedly transformed the thread from quiz into, er, research
So to keep the threads of the thread going, we are undertaking three lines of *cough* research here and, as Björn told the Wembley audience 'we really need your help on this one'. 1) How many ABBA songs contain the lyric 'ah-ha'. So far we have Knowing Me Knowing You ah-ha Voulez Vous ah-ha Money Money Money - a-ha-aa-aa-aa all the things I could do Honey Honey how you thrill me a-ha Ah-ha keep thinkin 'bout his Angel Eyes So Long - your fancy car ah-ha-ha (plus in desperation I argued that 'right up to her and say ah-ha-ha' in Angel Eyes was actually a different ah-ha-ha ) Arrival is well blessed in the ah department but the accompanying ha is sadly lacking Are there more? 2) Is there an ABBA connection with the origin of the band name 'A-ha!'? (Well, Take On Me does thematically resonate with Take A Chance On Me!) 3) Other ABBA songs that include the Honey Honey rhyme between 'feel' and 'conceal'? Come on, there are at least two

2) Is there an ABBA connection with the origin of the band name 'A-ha!'? (Well, Take On Me does thematically resonate with Take A Chance On Me!)
From Wikipedia: They were trying to think of what to call themselves, focusing on Norwegian words people could say in English. They jettisoned that idea when Morten spotted a song called "A-ha" in Waaktaar's songbook. "It was a terrible song but a great name," says Morten.

3) Other ABBA songs that include the Honey Honey rhyme between 'feel' and 'conceal'? Come on, there are at least two. I Do I Do I Do I Do I Do - "I can't conceal it, don't you see, can't you feel it"

Thank you, Roxanne. Interesting about A-ha too, Shoshin and Take on Me/Take a Chance on Me. Who knows what goes through a songwriter's mind, be it other writer's lyrics or groups or whatever, that inspires a new song (well, songwriters do, I suppose ).

Wouldn't the song 'Arrival' count as well when the ladies come in with their haunting harmonies?
Hey, Hey Helen in the backing vocals has a-ha in it
Ring Ring has an a-ha why don't you give me a call...
He Is Your Brother
Cassandra
My Love My Life

He Is Your Brother Cassandra My Love My Life Ooh, well I mentioned Arrival earlier but I couldn't hear a 'ha', just lots of 'ahs'. Maybe I just need to listen closer Not sure if backing vocals count if this is strictly a lyrics thread. And Ring Ring sounds more like an 'oh oh' to me Now I'm only being mean and pedantic 'cos I'm in smug mode, having dug up a dead cert in HIYS: 'Ah ha..you paint your world and use all colours' Can you come up with another feel/conceal rhyme? There's at least one more for sure

She knows another one but is keeping it to herself in the interests of wider participation

So regarding ah-ha in lyrics we have now found:
Knowing Me Knowing You ah-ha
Voulez Vous ah-ha
Money Money Money - a-ha-aa-aa-aa all the things I could do
Honey Honey how you thrill me a-ha
Ah-ha keep thinkin 'bout his Angel Eyes
So Long - your fancy car ah-ha-ha
Hole In Your Soul - Ah ha..you paint your world and use all colours
You Owe Me One - Aha um hum Look what you've done
Time for another feel/conceal rhyme now. Honey Honey, I Do x 5, and ?

Time for another feel/conceal rhyme now. Honey Honey, I Do x 5, and ? The Name of the Game. That's it! 'And you make me feel...What I'm trying to conceal'. I can't think of any others, but then again I thought there were only about four 'ah has' and we've now got eight at least. I wonder if there are any more feel/conceal rhymes?

Oh, it's walking in the moonlight, is it? I'm a bit embarrassed now about my recent karaoke performance
Well, it's an old chestnut and this is the lyrics discussion thread. What do we reckon? I've set the clip to start at what is prob'ly the most contentious example:
