One thing I have enjoyed in recent years is the extraction of elements from the band's recordings, particularly the harmonies.
I would dearly love for ABBA to emulate the Beatles and release recordings allowing the extraction of the individual vocals and instruments for all of us to enjoy. If they did it would only enhance their reputation and legacy but unfortunately it won't happen while B&B are alive.
So we have to be satisfied by the efforts of others to reveal the inner beauty of ABBA's recordings, imperfect as those efforts are.
Two have recently appeared revealing harmonies in "Thats Me" and " Just A Notion". In the latter you can hear more clearly the synth in parts.

The thing that amazes me when one hears the isolated vocal harmonies, especially when they are broken down into individual layers rather than the full on background vocals track, is how they add a note which sounds 'off' and wrong, but when mixed with the rest of the harmonies sounds so right. The same with the screeching in the harmonies dissection of GGG chorus ("won't somebody help me take the shadows away). Geniuses (or whatever the plural of genius is).

[...] Totally agree. The vocals of Agnetha and Frida in ABBA, including their layered harmonies, are some of the wonders in the history of pop music! I know the Beach Boys' Pet Sounds album was once released in vocals only form; and I think it would be a revelation heating (?!) - , hearing, even - some 'proper' vocals only tracks from ABBA. I appreciate that some fans wouldn't necessarily welcome it, but I'd also like an 'ABBA Remixed' album of selected tracks, especially to bring up some of the puzzlingly buried vocals: including, if possible, Agnetha's rather wispy appearance in The Visitors choruses, and Frida's underused harmonies in the choruses of Under Attack.

AureyoBoss has an amazing selection of isolated vocal tracks that reveal a lot of hidden details in the vocals. I love hearing how clear you hear the third voice in That's Me.
My Love My Life could almost work as an a cappella track because of the beautiful choir vocals throughout.
Unfortunately B&B are very picky about what materials of theirs ever gets out. I would kill for a multitrack release of their songs, but we will have to make do until then.
