Martin, does your trick involve the paint program? If not, let me know. I'm curious too. Erwin, I wanted to say I really like the photo format on your website. I like the easy access of going from one photo to the next and then going back to the gallery. I would only post your photos here and credit your site each time.

The way you do it in Firefox at least, is you load the picture that you want, go to tools->page info->media where it shows all the images on the page, sometimes it takes a while to find the picture if there are many images on the page. Once you find it, you can either save it to your computer or copy its URL. It works for all websites which don't allow to copy the images directly (unless they are using flash or something). And I'm sure there must be a similar method for other browsers.

No, I'm linking direct to Erwin's site, though you can copy the resulting image into Paint if you like. I still use Internet Explorer (IE) for this, from force of habit, albeit that I wouldn't recommend it more generally as a preferred browser these days. If I PM you instructions using IE will that work for you? If not, let me know which browser you do use. If it's Firefox of course you can follow Fafner and Erwin's method. I doubt if Erwin needs credit for public domain photos from his gallery; no doubt he will have picked some of them up from ABBAchat Where Erwin deserves heaps of praise though is, as you mention, for the site layout, image classification, and search terms that he is building.

Got it. I use Chrome, which is a little bit different. I went to MORE TOOLS and then VIEW SOURCE (you can also just do CTRL-U) and looked for the code of the image there. Hovering over the image with the moise pointer gives the image number so that it's easier to find. but Martin, Fafner and Erwin, you of course already know that. Only mine are coming up small, even when I change the % in BBC code www.diehardagnetha.com/gallery/index.php?/category/124

I'm lost then. I have no idea how to get the image code once I click on it. I'm just getting a list of thumbnails.

I'm lost then. I have no idea how to get the image code once I click on it. I'm just getting a list of thumbnails. Can you see ./galleries/Color/Young/Agnetha_000887.jpg anywhere in your source? The '.' indicates that what follows is a subdirectory and it's usually fairly easy to work out the full URL from that. If you look at my full URL for Agnetha_000887 you'll see what I mean. I've added what follows the './' to the root: 'http://www.diehardagnetha.com/gallery/' Actually, as it happens, on Erwin's site if you hover over the thumbnail the full URL is in any case conveniently displayed in the bottom left corner of the screen, on my Chrome browser at least

Here's what mine looks like:
<li class="gthumb"> <a href="picture.php?/14794/category/124" id="img-14794" name="./galleries/Color/Young/Agnetha_000887.jpg" rel="colorbox0"> <img class="thumbnail" src="_data/i/galleries/Color/Young/Agnetha_000887-cu_s9999x200.jpg" alt="Agnetha 000887" title="Agnetha 000887 (20 visits)" width="131" height="200"> </a>
Not sure how to get what you got from that. Maybe my way isn't the right way.

Maybe my way isn't the right way. It's often trial and error. All I did in this case was to notice the link in red above and add it to the end of www.diehardagnetha.com/gallery/ to make www.diehardagnetha.com/gallery/galleries/Color/Young/Agnetha_000887.jpgWhen that worked I didn't look into it any further. But alternatively if you follow the link in blue above, then do your Ctrl + U on that page, you can find a completely different URL to the one I created above which also retrieves the image for you: www.diehardagnetha.com/gallery/_data/i/galleries/Color/Young/Agnetha_000887-me.jpg Not yet sure if there's any size or quality difference between these two locations.

The piano pic is in this JCS montage, which includes a couple of other pics I hadn't seen before. We might be able to get the pianist's name with a bit of luck and a lot of googling.

His name doesn't matter to me that much, I just wanted to point out that he reminded me of John Lennon
