Benny introduces Agnetha with these words just before ISA live at Wembley. It's an affectionate figure of speech of course, not meant literally. However, it still seems an unlikely description to pop into his head. Agnetha is hardly diminutive. Her height is usually given as 5 feet 7 inches (170cm), well above average. It's sort of the equivalent of saying that a 6 ft tall (182cm) male is 'the short chap' I would like to submit two of my favourite video moments as supporting evidence for Agnetha's statuesque proportions and gait. First is SOS on the US American Bandstand show in 1975. In the middle of the second chorus Agnetha stands imperiously with hands on hips: Second is that fateful 1969 Swedish programme. Check out the height line up as the camera pans out from Björn (Agnetha isn't wearing high heels here). They became a couple after this; I wonder what he saw in her? By the way, if you freeze this video at the point I have skipped to (2m3s) Björn is looking into the window and his destiny is reflected back to him, ghost-like. Neither had any notion of their future together or the musical phenomenon they would help to create. Quite arty, isn't it? Martin UK

Maybe it is meant in how she always just wanted to be a "little star"? And not about her height.

aww come on Martin - is that Bandstand video really about Agnetha's height I don't think there was ever any doubt about how statuesque Agnetha is - both girls had some decent length legs that's for sure I think it's sweet that Benny introduced her as 'the little blonde girl' - more endearment than anything else I would imagine.

Very arty with the second video Martin - good spotting with the reflection - I think Agnetha already had some idea where things might lead with Bjorn on a personal level - none of them could have possibly have imagined everything else that was to come though - what an exciting time in their lives - the lead up to becoming the biggest phenomenon the world has seen

I think that he said it because she is the younger member! The youngest are always the little haha!

Benny introduces Agnetha with these words just before ISA live at Wembley. He should've introduced her as "the girl with the golden hair"!
