At the end of April Björn, Benny and Agnetha started their bizarre tour in Sweden. They performed several covers during a 30-minutes-show. In June they performed in front of TV cameras in Skansen in Stockholm.   |

For everyone who is interested: The pictures are from the show 'Momarkedet' performed in Mysen/Norway on 31st August 1973. Normally this annual charity-show would be broadcasted on Norwegian TV, in 1973 it wasn't. (Source: abbaontv.com)

Looking at that last image from the 'Super Trouper' sessions, everyone looks so happy. Fast forward 12 months to 'The Visitors' sessions and nobody looks happy to be there. Could be all staged, I know, but nonetheless the difference is stark.

Yes, Martin. As well as reflecting the atmosphere and songs within 'The Visitors' album, cover designer Rune Soderqvist definitely had in mind the previous record and how the two should be seen in tandem.
'Super Trouper' and the group are together, brightly dressed, in the spotlight and the centre of attention. 'The Visitors' and they are apart, dressed in sober attire and lit only by a fireplace type glow 'casting shadows on the wall'. Dominated and dwarfed by the paintings behind them. The contrast is stark and meaningly so. .
