Was sort of hoping that the new '1865' song wouldn't involve Dan Daniell but he has sung about the Matterhorn before. I wonder if this is something separate? Really like 'Lieber Gott' but he has a style that is erm, an acquired taste.

I understand what you are saying Danny - he has a style of his own that not everyone would warm to. I don't think his voice blends terribly well with Frida's in I Have A Dream - especially in the first half - and I didn't think the recording really did the song or Frida justice. I do enjoy 'Lieber Gott' though - it has a beautiful quality to it and Frida sounds wonderful - I think it helps that Dan does not actually sing Another artist singing with Frida for this new song would no doubt create a more pleasing sound - and possibly a more popular recording - but I do like that they are friends and choose to do these things together for good causes. Frida is very loyal to her friends - and cherishes her friends greatly as we know. I love that about her I am sure I will love this new song no matter what - but I really do hope it is a good song, that sounds good - and does Frida justice

She certainly does things with a touch of class so I'm sure it'll be great, Roxy. The song of course celebrates the 150th anniversary of the Matterhorn's first ascent but I'm sure will also recognise that the attempt ended in tragedy with four of the climbing party killed. The Matterhorn is a stunning looking mountain towering over Zermatt but is treacherous too and claimed many lives over the years. This song is just a part of Zermatt's events in recognition of the anniversary. This was pretty spectacular...

Still with that lovely Swedish accent. Didn't realise this song was in English. Think a longer snippet is available in a couple of days.

It sounds far poppier than I expected - and her voice sounds great. It would be great if this little project could ignite some kind of interest in returning to the studio for a new Frida album. But I suppose these little hobby pieces scratch the creative itch without committing her to the slog of recording and promotion.

17 years ago top cook Urs Biner (53) had a special guest in his restaurant Chez Heini in Zermatt: Abba star Frida (69) sat down to a table(desk). "It was a magic meeting ", remembers Biner. "We saw ourselves and felt immediately, that we congenial sind." Still today knows Biner which is called as a musician Dan Daniell what Frida has ordered(appointed) at that time: "Sole and vegetables. This eats her till this day best(preferably). Meat against it(however) likes her generally not." Since that time are Anni-Frid Lyngstad Reuss von Plauen - there is Frida's full name - and Dan Daniell narrow friends. "Frida is a very amusing and down-to-earth woman. We go walk with each other or ski driving", says of the Walliser. "If I am sad, she is the first one, which I call." For him Frida is "a star without airs". Blest with a big heart and a unique, wonderful voice. Now both musicians sing together. To the celebration of the first ascent of the Matterhorn 150 years ago they have taken up the jubilee song "1865" in English. A German version is in planning. "Frida could sing with the tallness(great things) of this world, however, she does it with me what particularly pleases me ", he says. The duet has been even her idea. With the proceed they plan good: he flows into the endowment "Frida and Dan Daniel for children ". This is her heart's desire. "Frida said me from beginning that she no five black horses for it wants ", according to Biner. Another common project already stands in a queue(is waiting): together they want to mount the Matterhorn.
