I like the guitar riff but the singing is a whole nother story.

The guitar is awesome - really enjoyed the music. The singing, as you say Monica, is a whole other story. I don't find it too hard to take, but why they chose to sing it so high I'll never know - although the lead singer can certainly hit those high notes !

Can't agree with any criticism of the MMM vocals, he has a spectacular voice! I also love the way that, in contrast to Yngwie's '...Gimme your love', the MMM guy throws himself with such gusto into the lyrics as they were written.

...in contrast to Yngwie's '...Gimme your love', the MMM guy throws himself with such gusto into the lyrics as they were written. Lars Johan Yngve was probably too worried about his extremely masculine image to sing the original lyrics.

To bump an old thread, but mainly because I have too much time on my hands, here are a couple of other Swedish metal ABBA covers you've all been waiting for:

I don't find anything wrong on the Money Money Money vocals... That singer is fantastic. The metal covers of ABBA songs have always intrigued me a lot, don't know why. At Vance's covers are my personal favourites, especially The Winner Takes It All. There was a time when I even cherished a heretical thought it was better than ABBA's original :-) But of course it's not... Nobody will ever sing it better than Agnetha, even if this guy is very very good.
