Björn was interviewed tonight on UK television. ITV's current affairs programme 'On Assignment' visited him at the ABBA museum to discuss his advocacy of Sweden's trailblazing progression towards a cashless society. It was an interesting and balanced look at the pros and cons of the gradual demise of cash transactions. Highlights included seeing the Stockholm equivalent of a Big Issue seller accepting card payments, as well as Björn's admission that 'Money Money Money' would no longer work as a song title! It was a preview of this Thursday's 'The Nation's Favourite 70s Number One' special. The programme runs from 8.30 - 10pm on ITV, though it's a countdown chart format so expect ABBA to feature mainly at the business end of the show. |

I understand the concept of going all cashless but the reality of it is when the power goes out you can't pay with a card, if the credit card system is down you can't buy anything. Are you going to send your 3 year old out to the ice cream truck with a debit/credit card? If there is some major storm or emergency where you can't use any type of credit/debit card....maybe it will happen I don't know. I know it is difficult to get the elderly to use credit or debit they still prefer using cash and writing checks. As far as going cashless to stop people from stealing that isn't going to work the thieves will just figure out another way to steal and convert those stolen items into some form of monies.

Yes Bjorn was a little naïve in thinking a cashless Society would benefit the World in a Good way. I know he based his idea on when his son had his apartment robbed of belongings. And they could be sold for Cash,
but fast forward today and this is the plan for the Evil Greedy few that control the World. It is all about control and Scrutiny, of every aspect of our lives, for their own benefit you only have to look at China and Canada where Cards have been cancelled Jobs lost, Travel bans internet switched off etc, for going against their narrative, or non comply to having a medical procedure from the big money making corporations.
They will control what you can buy, where you can go, that Could be anything, commodities, Foods, Books, Internet, Travel, there is no limits think about it, if you don't follow their agenda. We must resist a Cashless Society for the sake of the next generation or become more enslaved and lose more our freedoms that our ancestors fought and died for to the Greedy few who peddle fear and lies with climate change,etc while everything they preach, they do the opposite, and turn a blind eye and line their pockets from the real corporate industries who pollute and destroy the environment with their toxic waste. Children are still dying through poverty, While they choose to spend billions on Weapons, which includes dangerous experiments with animals to create deadly viruses that transmit to humans to kill. Their biological weapons war against Humanity.
