From reliable facebook groups: Apparently Universal are working on a few projects scheduled for release around October, in preparation for Fridas' 70th birthday. A vinyl single edition of "Slowly" (B-side to be confirmed) and a box set edition of Something's Going On are allegedly on the cards. We'll let you know more when we have any definite news. www.facebook.com/groups/633284996695782/+++ Information +++ A lot of you have been contacting the site in recent days after seeing on-line stores advertising things such as a vinyl release of Slowly and a box set edition of Something's Going On. We cannot tell you much about these items at this stage. But Frida has confided in us that Universal is putting together something special to mark her 70th birthday later this year. However we are not allowed to reveal much more at this stage. But please keep an eye on this site because when there is news that we can officially release then we will certainly post this for you. www.facebook.com/homagetoannifridlyngstad?fref=ts

How fantastic! An international "best of" is long overdue - it would be nice if such a thing were part of the overall plan.

As her birthday is in November, we won't have too long to wait now. Another month and then Universal may be more specific with what they are planning. Coloured vinyl or picture disc would suit most of us on here I think. Then we got Agnethas' 70th to look forward to :-)

^^Totally agree. If anything, the "Shine" album seems to offer more scope for bonus material. I'm very curious to see what Universal come up with (and what Frida approves). Ideally, all five albums would be remastered and expanded.

I can't find it on the Museum website but, with the help of Google, I tracked it down to your own blog, Roxy. It's sold out already? Bummer.

Why limit the numbers? It doesn't take a genius to imagine that this will be on the Amazon / Ebay sites at hugely inflated prices in a very short while. Very little warning too. Seems to have been announced late last night. Lots seemed to have missed out.

Those photos make the set look really tempting! It looks like many people are being tempted, too, with Amazon's UK branch sold out too. It will take no time at all for such a limited quantity to sell out across the various online retail websites. Unfortunately, it looks like this will become one of those very expensive and rare items on eBay and collectors' sites before long.
It would be nice if there was also a more widely available commemorative item released. Personally, I'd like to see a new remix of IKTSGO or Shine released as a new single.

Amazon have sold out already ? I only ordered mine on Thursday this week. if you are desperate for one of these sets then Ebay is your only option I am afraid. By the way, I only bought one copy, but I'll bet many people bought a good handful. MMMmm... I wonder why? Tut! Tut!

I think it's gone from Amazon Italy also now. Funny it doesn't seem to have turned up on any other sites apart from the Museum and those 2 Amazon sites. Surely they didn't sell all 2000 between them. I am thinking it will appear elsewhere in time. I am also thinking that it was released on those sites prematurely. There was not a single scrap of an announcement that I know of - just seen on the Museum site by accident by someone who spread the word.

Thanks for those extra links Danny - I hadn't come across those. Still quite limited where it has shown up but at least it's not sold out.
