^^ Olivia looked much better with it than Frida ever did.
Both Frida and Olivia look uncomfortable in that pic, presumably because of where Stig's hands are. Frida's got her hand on his in order to control it, and Olivia has an uncomfortable smile.

If you ever wondered who's to blame for Frida's (imho horrible) late 1981 hair style – here she is. In my opinion, ONJ's haircut looks a lot like the Frida's 1983 haircut (not unkempt like Olivia's, fortunately) but that may be just my mind thinking of it. I'd take it that her interim haircut was rather average (but she still looks beautiful with it) – It doesn't seem to me like it's the smooth way to transition from her haircuts of early 1981 to 1982.. From the curls to the dyed red marshmallows (being cheeky here) and to being a 1980s fitness teacher, that seems like a very unconventional but not weird way of introducing your new haircut to the public press.  Not one of the most awful, but Frida's temporary puffy hair is just average, out of all hair cuts in my opinion, I've seen worse on haircuts. PS. For some reason, I also thought that Olivia's smile looked rather creepy with her eyes wide open unlike the squinting Frida  in the 1980s, but it doesn't to me when viewing pictures of her from the 1970s. |
