Truth be told, I'm not much of a mass collector as anyone expects to be but I recently got Agnetha Fältskog's 'Elva kvinnor i ett hus' on vinyl, Cupol 1st pressing... fantastic sound as is. I wonder if Agnetha herself was the master engineer of that album?

That's the one album I'm definitely planning to buy on vinyl one day too. Absolute masterpiece! I believe it will be re-released probably next year together with När En Vacker Tanke Blir En Sång (great album as well), following the re-release of her first three Cupol LPs. I guess Michael Tretow was the engineer though... Agnetha "only" produced the record.

I just got Voulez-Vous on record at a recent convention I went to. At first I wasn't sure if I should get it since I don't really have a way to use it other than to have it on display, but it was only $1 and I want to expand my collection, so I bought it.

If that Voulez-Vous LP you had is in a very good condition that it's deemed worthy of playing out of it, you should consider saving up for a second-hand belt-driven turntable and a new preamp! I believe there were numerous pressings of the album itself from various factories, from Columbia (no, I don't mean Sony's brainchild) to Monarch and PRC Richmond; according to Discogs, I have the Speciality Records pressing of the album, as it ends with SP in the Atlantic label. What's inside sounds very remarkable, at least!

I accidentally broke the case a little bit when I was trying to take pictures for my blog, but it's nothing a little glue can't fix. I think the vendor I got it from said it was from his own personal collection, so he must've taken really good care of it since it looks really great. He had a bunch more records for sale, but I didn't have time to look for more ABBA albums. I have a feeling that if I did find more I would've bought them all.

Another successful day at Cardiff today. I've bought Agnetha's Wrap Your Arms Around Me album in Pink Vinyl at HMV. The was also Eyes Of A Woman in red but they are quite expensive so I didn't buy that one. Even the normal vinyl is expensive at £20.
Thank You For The Music (1983) - it was a generic sleeve from Kelly's Records for £2. Kelly's is really worth checking out. Fernando (France) Money Money Money (France) Eagle (France) - WOW Summer Night City (South African) for FREE!!! Dancing Queen (1992) Also for FREE!!!
How much does the Summer Night City single from South Africa usually go for? Is it rare?

Just got the Indianapolis pressing of ABBA: The Album, Atlantic Records. Nothing wrong with the masters on side one; Agnetha and Frida's aren't clipped (and clear!), the percussions are less emphasised and mushed, but not heavily (like every psychedelia albums of 2010s), or I just have bad speakers. Okay, that's more prominent in "The Name of the Game", but not with the first three tracks on side one.
Or maybe that's probably a propaganda created by an audiophile who has too much time on their hand.

What's the difference between the Indianapolis and US pressings?

What's the difference between the Indianapolis and US pressings? The Indianapolis pressing is much more orange than the standard Atlantic pressings, label wise. There is a disclaimer about being manufactured by RCA Music Service under license; also, the text is much bolder and wide. Top right corner of the Atlantic logo and at the back cover: SD 19164 R124237 A (additional) US pressings from Atlantic Records varied. Columbia House, Speciality... they used tonnes of pressing factories that they end up having unique characteristics of any Atlantic Records' physical labels from the 1970s onwards.

Is this the Portugal pressing? On Discogs, it says that the Portuguese pressing was pressed on the Polar label but I've got the Polydor label.

It says Portugal on the label, so that's probably what it is. Discogs is not infallible.

So, over the course of Christmas, I had 12" Waterloo (1981 Repress) - It was in a much better condition than my previous one. It's glossier too. Under Attack (12" Maxi Single) - Cheaper than it usually goes for - I won it for £4.20. 7" Summer Night City (Germany)Waterloo (English - France) - I won this as a job lot with Super Trouper (UK) for £1.70ish. The Heat Is On (Sweden)I was going to get The Album Singles too but I forgot to pre-order/order. What am I like?

I finally decided to buy The Album singles and I must say they look better than the Arrival ones... they're translucent this time. Only the box looks a bit cheap, while the Arrival one was quite classy.

Wow, I’ve just won the French version of Waterloo (French pressing with Gonna Sing You My Lovesong on the B-Side) on eBay for a little over £40. Even though the cover looks worn, I do hope the vinyl plays fine. I’m so excited for it to come any day now. Because of how rare it is, do you guys think it was worth it for that price?

The Rubber Ball Man, Did you check Discogs? The listing in there has the sales history of it as minimum £17.48, maximum £170.45 with an average of £92.22. There’s one for sale now on there (media VG, sleeve VG) £174.82, so based on that it sounds like you got a good deal. The one that apparently went for £17.48 may not have had a picture sleeve. I’m happy enough with the reissue from the 2014 singles box, but I appreciate it’s not like having an original (plus the labels aren’t authentic). I only collect the UK/Ireland Epic issues.

I already have quite a vast collection having been a fan since 1974, however, now that I ve got my Voyage collection where I want it to be, I'm focusing on expanding my Visitors collection.
This week I've added
1, The Visitors Picture Disc LP 2. The Visitors Japanese LP with Obi strip 3. The Visitors standard UK cassette 4. One Of Us/Should I Laugh Or Cry 7" single from Germany 5. Head Over Heels/The Visitors 7" single from Germany 6. When All Is Said and Done/should I laugh or cry 7" Single on Atlantic from USA 7. Head Over Heels/No Hay A Quien Culpar on RCA?Victor from Mexico 8. Under Attack/You Owe Me One 7" Single on Vogue from France
I'll start on the Japanese Discomate releases at the end of May/start of June.....Feels great to be collecting again....have my fingers crossed we get a Visitors boxset/special Edition/singles collection like "Ring, Ring" at some point this year.
