By late August, ABBA fan club revealed that this album would be released on vinyl later on this year but didn't come true. BUT  Will it ever get released on vinyl or was it a pack of lies? |

I don't think Universal Sweden would tell lies about announcements – it wouldn't be typical of them if they did so, but maybe like the other commentator said, it could have coincided with 2017's Record Store Day. (Same here)  In my opinion, they might release only in Europe like Djupa Andetag's original issue under Anderson Records [Warner Music] and Agnetha's RSD-reissued debut album did, and that might not be easily circulated in other countries unless a special order is made, coming from the United States.  The similar thing happened to me. July 2016, before the announcement of Djupa andetag on vinyl: I once sent Dutch-based record label named Music On Vinyl an email that they should include a reissued version of Anni-Frid Lyngstad's debut album, but no luck found. It may be the time-consuming remastering, perhaps, or it's in reissuing development hell? |
