Recently found this website about TV tropes. As the name suggests, it's primarily concerned with TV programmes, but music is adequately covered as well. Appears to be a US website. I've found it fascinating reading. ABBA is well covered, with entries on seven albums (curiously, The Visitors doesn't get one) tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Music/ABBAExamples: "Disposable Vagrant: The begging man the self-centered woman passes in "He Is Your Brother"." "Acting Your Intellectual Age: Averted in "Suzy Hang-Around". The boys that make fun of Suzy for being "too young" think they're this, but are ultimately showing the listener that they're more immature than the nine-year-old Suzy." "Getting Crap Past the Radar: The implication that the husband of "Hey, Hey Helen" is abusive and the reason why she divorced him. The lyrics of "Rock Me" if you read them in the mind of a twelve year old, implying a couple with an active sex life."

I didn't know Agnetha was very bad at computers? Haha
"Cute Clumsy Girl: Agnetha was rarely a flashy dancer. This is because, according to her own words, she didn't have as much control over her body as Frida did. There're many fans who describe her dancing as definitely clumsy. Less subjectively, she has also claimed that she can't drive boats without crashing them on the dock and she's bad with computers."

...The implication that the husband of "Hey, Hey Helen" is abusive and the reason why she divorced him. The person who said that is mistaken. There is no such implication.

It's not written by a hardcore fan, but in any case, any art is open to interpretation. It's not explicitly stated in the lyrics, I agree, but "so at last you're free" is an indication that it could be, and therefore is an implication. I just love reading how someone can put a new spin on it and interpret things differently to how I would. It would be a very sad day indeed if art could suddenly only be interpreted one way. It's up to the individual listener how to take what's given, and what it suggests to them.

As for interpreting art, I really don't know what the song Elaine is supposed to be about.
